Best Value Quests

We all know there are a ton of quests in EQ, of which only a handful are really of value to most players. So....

Which quests do you think are actually worth doing? At what level? How much help did you need? Was it for gear, faction, xp, etc.? Let's hear it!

Harvester quest cuz it looks to damn kewl... and really easy. well for me at least. this my first post and wanted to say hello to everybody. I hope to find to like the dark arts as much as most of you have.

had my main camping AC for 7 hours straight, then tracking the little dude in Rath Mountains, etc. ... but it was worth it. Jboots saved my necro ass many many times :)

Well, Depending on your level and what equipment you have. I would recommending do either the Ornate or Worlack armor quests. Nice stats and some benfical rclick's. Also I would do the BA3 dracer quest. Very nice for our dots. Also Natimbi ZOne quest LIke, The Shield with regen 3. Maybe KIKI receipt book. Just some nice item use necro could use. I know there a earning quest too. I would recommend u check out EQLIZER and click on link for there complete NECRo quest list. I found alot of nice items I am currently trying to get...

If you camp AC in Sro (or Nro I forget its one of those) it shouldnt take more then an hour to get him to spawn. Ive gotten Jboots for 2 characters, and 1 just to sell the MQ of, and every time never took more then an hour there. All you do is kill everything that spawns in the sand area of the zone untill you get him to pop. I guess I could of gotten lucky those 3 times, but either way its 10 times easier then camping the AC in OOT. Plus you can use them for a decent amount of time they are a little bit faster then run 3.

even tho it took me 30 straight hours of camping, jboots for sure. they are the one item i have that i havnt replaced/removed/destroyed/traded/whatnot. i still use em today just because i can mostly thanks to run5. had a friend that had the ac pop in under 30 seconds. freaked me out a bit but eh.

Well the AC in OOT spawns randomly one every 12hours in RL. I know I did the camp. It is completly random. I gave seen it were the AC will pop at the end of the 12 hours and be the first to repop in the being of the next 12 hours. I done the AC camp 4 times and this is sound. Hope this helps.

The coldain ring wars give a real nice clicky regen and damage shield. Easy to solo up to lvl 8 if I remember correctly.

Epic 1.0 - for spite. After 15 bugged KoS kills it became personal.

Phylactery is a really nice quest. Requires a ton of Tradeskills but if you meet all it's tradeskill requirements you can then proceed and do the PoP earing quests.

Chardok rings are fun or can try to attain as many keyring keys as you can. Lots of side things can be done for a little fun maybe learn all the languages or somthing.

Chardok rings are very doable.. solo.. and you get great faction (cept for bottoming Venril Sathir faction to get to Drusella.. but, hey now I have more fun ), easy access to Chardok B and some rings that you might actually wear. I once read of this be refered to as "the actual necromancer epic".. since it is more useful.

Pick two factions in Velious.. max those factions. There are not that many "City" armor quests that are useful anymore, but they are others like the "Circlet of the Falinkan" http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=6452 which is certainly worth doing if you have the means to in your 40s or 50s.

"Words of Darkness" http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=2339 is a nice clicky item.. even nicer on PvP servers.. I still carry mine.

The PoP "focus 2" quests are very useful.. every caster I start gets a "Fine Cut, Diamond Inlaid Mask" http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=16394 and/or a "Fine Antique Ring" http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=16371 for a bit. Since the turn in items involved are dropable.. slam dunk.

Fisherman's Companion.. *giggles*

Marsinger's Gem.. or Secret of the Planes.. range slot fun.

Small Clockwork Talisman, Powered Clockwork Talisman, and The Binden Concerrentia.. are great neck's for twinks. *cries* How do you people play with all this nodrop crap?

How can you argue with a FT4 item? Fully buffed, I hardly get drained past 99% with it running, so it's a non-issue in so far as the life drain. Not to mention the implications of players on PvP with this.

Even though there are more ways to get around the EQ world than one can count on your hand, I still amaze myself at the many uses I come up with, for this. I thought at the time I quested it, that it's more of a status symbol quest, I will describe this tool in a single word: Invaluable.

Allows you to buy/sell in Shadowhaven - nice if you're a researcher because it's a fast place to buy quills/parchments. Best thing is, the quest only takes about 15 minutes to complete, with the spoiler in front of you.


Garbage Collecting (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=1451)
Collect 4 pieces of trash in Shadeweaver's Thicket along the path, in return for a six slot container. Anytime I'm running thru SWT to PC, I pick one up. Can never have too many containers, IMO!

Shawl, I will wear that rag for a long, long time. Awesome for a non-raider or even a raider if they like. FT3, so so stats, better than most buyable Nec shoulder slots, and ext enhancement focus for lich, dmf, shield, pet buff, etc.


Sigil earring if you have the means to kill LIS. Clicky, insta clicky, acumen is nice for the blind races, plus 100 hps/mana and great stats for non-uber.


Kiki's book is great if you are there anyway.

Regal ring so you can befriend them and then murder them. No place made me feel more like a Nec than Chardok.

Militia cape from Omens quests, and the Belt from Harbringer's spire.
