I was getting frustrated looking for a good solo spot. I tried the usual places (Crystal Caverns, Rathe Mts, etc) but usually found these places already heavily camped (no surprise). That's when a friend of mine suggested soloing in Burning Wood.

I zoned in from the DL side and followed the path to the Giant Fort. To the east of the giant fort is some ruins with a bunch of undead. I set up camp on the north side of the ruins. Great spot. You can single pull the undead and don't have to worry about pathing from wandering mobs. The undead apes are good too, but have a ton of hp and are somewhat social so be careful pulling those. There are a couple of skellies (greater war boned and greater plaquebone i think) that also have a butt ton of hp.

I have been getting 1-2% per kill and loot isn't bad (pp, words, etc). My buddy says that spot is good into the 50's. I'm 1 yellow from 45 ATM and plan on staying there for a while. I heard the giant Fort is pretty good too when you get closer to 50. Good Hunting! B)

ssyruk, I recommend trying the giant fort there in BW. I was soloing there at 46 the other day, they drop decent vendor fodder and I was getting 1-2% per kill, the Arbors are fairly easy to kill, the Verdant are a little tougher (more hp) and the ancients have even more hp, but are still killable.. the best method for soloing is to park the pet alittle ways past the ramp (out of agro range of giants that spawn at the bottom) pull to the left side of the ramp cause when you fear they path that way. be carefull of pathing when pulling from inside the fort. make sure you get them to come down the ramp, cause if you get to the bottom and then start to the left they will try to come over the wall and generally not alone... once he is pathing the way you want sick pet fear and then stack the dots.. I used Venom of the snake and Dark Soul, and on the higher hp ones I used asystole.

BW giant fort is one of my old time fav camps for just the reason you mentioned. Good vendor fodder and your technique is right on for the pulling.

I've said it to every person to ask this question in the mid forties, the best place is echo caverns the TM area. Start small and see what you can handle, at 47 I was doing the upper and lower room including the task master

Sorry for the vague location description but just off I think to the east of the Crater/Fort is a building with no roof inhabited by undead apes and skeletons. This is a great camp for easy pulling and undead killing. They can be pet tanked with shackle or fear kited if you have checked to make sure no Wurms are roaming by at the time.

This is a easy high exp camp that is almost always open unlike the Giant Fort in BW.

ALSO--for what its worth there is no better exp for lvl's 44-49 then the Geo's in Crystal Caverns. 500+pp per hour in gems and coin and best exp you can get for the effort at that lvl IMO. If you haven't tried these guys, DO until you've made up your mind on where to hunt.

Sweet! I have been racking my brain trying to figure out where to get XP at mid 40's. Been grouping in DL but, that is gawd awful slow. I'm gonna head to BW first, then try out CC. Good Post Ssyruk, thanx to everyone else for their input. :)
