Epic Stuff

I've been looking through here and there really isn't any talk about epics, and more important to me.. The First epic. I'm not to high lvl yet, but I def. plan on doing the epics, when i get there.

Question number one.. What lvl is required or recommended to start epic 1.0?

Question number two.. Is epic 1.0 even worth doing now that there is an epic 1.5, and 2.0 besides the cool graphic?

Question number three.. Is the epic 1.5 and 2.0 basicly the same thing besides better stats? ...


I've had more at one point, but at the moment thats alll i can think of..

1. Depends on your gear. Assuming you aren't twinked and you want to do the quest yourself rather than purchasing things, I'd wait till your 40's for going through Najena for flowing black robe, maybe high 40's for the head you need from east freeport (I think you can get it in 2-3 places). Might be able to do those things at lower levels now, not really sure these days. For chardok solo wait till your 50's. The other raid stuff is 46+.

2. The stats are garbage these days. You do get a title if you're into that. The epic snare is nice for saving mana especially if you like to group and own a horse. Pointless if you get into PoTime at some point as a new item necro only drops with a better faster cast snare. Completing the first epic gives you a shortcut to completing the OoW epics.

3. Better stats and better focus and better clicky (can click more often). Yes.

Erudster, what can I say? I think the answer lies somewhere between, Most Necro's don't care and allakhazam's.com has the very best post on it.

As I understand it, having 1.0 speeds things along for 1.5...2.0 is a horse of another color, but darned if I will ever find out that color.

I've used the epic on several occasions ( 1.0 ) and the major problem is cast time. It is Slow. Talking to most epic weilding necro's; Dooming Darkness is still there favorite, fast cast; short life span; attention getter, even resisted. Granted this was on my bro's char that I used it.

But bottom line is; I have my Epic, I earned that right of Passage. This is what an Epic really does, Is let the world know you have passed the Right of Passage.

Nothing to really do with effect, or; focus. It's strictly right of passage. Everyone wants there EPIC to do more.

You'll find everyone whines about there epic. No matter what class, It's really reverse bragging saying:

I have one......

Thank You Whispers Quietly Nicely said! I completely agree. I think all NECROS wish the STAT or Click Effect was Better, But it says something of the Player befor the TOON! I am currently at 51 Work on my 2 Major Quest! The Iksar SkullCAP 9 and Epic Number 1.0..... You would not beleive it BUT there have been some new HIGH level Guildies forming back up from OLD World Player which left and can back ro left for other game EQ2 - WOW - COH... Alot are coming back.... And it's Nice to hear someone come up and say Gratz on your sucessfull Questing of these items. If makes you feel good.
