SOE never applies it's own rules all the time.. even during the period when there were NO naked or otherwise xfers to FV.. I know of an entire guild that moved naked and regeared themselves (in the first month =p).
But.. the "Character Transfers With Items" page says these things:
No moves are allowed to or from the Test server, Sullon Zek or Firiona Vie.
Characters will not be moved to servers that are less than 6 months old.
Which may or may not be *part* of the answer. Asking SOE about this is like asking the IRS for tax advice.. they will answer, but they will not warranty any information they give you.

They have said they they are going to allow transfers to Zek, but that it will take a few weeks for details and until they open them. Check the Arena forum and the Zek forum at eqlive, this question has been asked there already.

I would give he zek server at least 2-3 more months before you begin cotemplating a transfer. Because right now, is nothing like it will be then.

I wouldnt bother.. i been pvp since i started eq and am moving off Zek as soon as they figure out how to change which server im on...
Why?
Well lets ignore the fact that the server crashes every night!
in 4 days of logging on im 3 for 4 pvp with 6 "draws" (ppl instagating away from me as they start to lose)
The four losses?
2 portal ganks where ive been dead before i load in
2 kills on mobs.
Ive tried to hang it and see but theres far too many twats been combined in one place who all think its fine to do whatever they feel like to win.
The druid who doted me while kiting a mob even petitioned me for then bringing the mob and feigning it on him.
PVP isnt what it was on Vallon Zek.. what the fuck is an "anti" and why do SOE offer a months free move then not let anyone take it up for the first week of the month?
Team pvp was far more fun

Well i figure I should just define what "Anti" is, on RZ as you know there use to be looting, First it was any one piece, then it was any piece except your primary/secondary/range. As you can imagine, having an item taken caused alot of grief. Therefore, Anti's were created to stop those who would use hit and run tactics to take items from people, while they were on mobs.
Unlike on the team servers you were not handed a ready made side of allies. On RZ a wood elf would gank a wood elf and a dark elf would gank a dark elf.
PVPing on rallos was only used to punish someone who ganked people, or as a method of ganking.
Now i know i am about to hear "why did you come to a pvp server if you don't want to pvp?"
The point was you came because you wanted the option, On a blue server, short of training someone, there is NO remedy for a player that kses, you short of training.
On rallos you just killed them.
The origanal position of an "anti" was to end the grief caused by item looting.
People on tallon and zallon seem to forget that up until gear looting was removed, they were the bluebies, and RZ was the only real red server. Even sullon was a bluebie server if you compare it to item looting days of RZ.
Granted Anti- is a carry over from that time, It was to stop people from creating grief for others.
Anti- Was designed to punish those who engaged in griefing, not pvping.
Just a note, anti was our team, every other server had a teams if you think of it in that context, I think you will understand it better. (only on rz you didn't have to join it or could lie and pretend to be one and actualy be the other, or you could fight but do it but be on your own team.
Let the flames begin =). I know i misspelled things so please make better flames then that.

i thought the server woudl be alot different,
i didnt think that OT zone would be a constant gankfest lol
i thought it would be the same except that there would be more people around
i used to have to look for PvP and now theres always on espot to find it
The Overthere
i dont complain or cry when i get ganked
my ranking is like 406 now (it was 110 before merge)
im more of a solo guy when i PK like pick off Ldon groups and stuff
its hard to hang with a whole group thats aimed at killing you
i have 62 kills now, and me deaths went from 34 (before merge)
to 51 now
i think its easier not to die if you dont go looking for PVP, and just kill who attacks you
when you always go to OT hoping for some pnts
thats when i always get ganked lol
im sticking around tho, cause i love PVP
i would be bored on any other server
i just got natural durability 1 and spellcasting fury 1

RZ is and always was the bluest of the 4 PvP servers.
Sullon with legalized training, bind camping and no level or play nice restrictions at all far outweighs any loss of droppable loots.

Not tomention on SZ we could still loot people's pp if not items... oh yeah, and there is that pesky difference of SZers losing xp in a PvP death you RZ people didn't have to worry about.

If you really think that it mattered that a PnP existed I pitty you =). there was plenty of bind camping and training on RZ, probaly not as much as sullon, but there was still alot of it, even before merger i personally would be trained 3 to 4 times a night on rallos.
granted necros do have fd so it wasn't to bad.
I think the only time i ever saw a GM ever care about training or bind camping was when the person being trained was using an exploit to xp and he got a warning.
As for the xp loss for dying in pvp, unless i am mistaken, (which i could be i only played on SZ for about 40 levels, *which is a very short time* and i played there early my exp loss from pvp could be rezzed back, *if this changed it does make it does make SZ more red, but still at best its only on par with RZ when items were loot able* granted after the removal of item loot it became much more red, for two reasons.
1) the punishment was severly dimished for pvping
2) Many of the rabid pks left the game in protest over it.
pretty much post OoW the high end game on RZ had become more bluer then TZ and VZ, but RZ was much significantly more red at the 50-60 range. Simply because on RZ they could exploit a significant advantage there.
(I may sound like i am stating all these things as fact, they are simply based on my exp in game, and I can't say definitively that I am correct, just my view of the facts, I spent 3 years on RZ 4 months on SZ and 6 months on TZ, none on VZ, so yes i am obviously a tad biased =))

I guess im too old to appreciate.. and unfortunately I remember item loot on VZ so im definitely too old for the "new breed" of pvp
ITs a shame idve liked to have chatted to aryse )) but I grew on a server where rules were in place. IF you griefed a guild your guild punished you. PVP was PVP not PVPAM (Player vs Player and Mobs) and ppl had respect for each others hard earned xp.
Im not time geared im barely pop geared cos I played to my server rules until SoE took it off me. Now i see a bunch of pp behaving like their 12 who most likely were bullied for being fat and need some way to make themselves feel good.
Depite my gear im pretty good at pvp i can beat tim/GoD gear 1 on 1 if i get lucky but its time for me to retire and go sit inthe great necro rest home of the blue server where i wont get pissed off every night i log in

What, you think corpse camping on a +/- 4 levels server even vaguely compares to corpse camping on a no level limits server? lol
The whole fact that a PnP existed meant there were people who did follow it... therefor more blue than a server where nobody did.
If you guys were so experienced with training, you wouldn't be peitioning it now. You wouldn't even think to peition it because you'd be expecting it. Heh, you'd also know that a necro can train, which some guilds are not aware of.
Mallakith, send me a tell before you head off to bluebie world :) It's always neat to chat with board members in game.
Thanks for all of the reply's.I think that im going to wait till i get about 5 more levels under my belt then ill switch on over.Shouldnt be too long before im over there.See you soon.

i would also pick up maybe 50 or 60 good pvp aa's, and probaly be 68-70, you will need it. or just stay at or below 60.

By good pvp aa's i would recommend both the crit theft of life and the anti stun line.. im nearly maxed on all and can channel a lifetap through a hasted time monk with that thousand blow stick.. (only once... wasnt gonna try twice lol)
Currently ive only got the basic aa's regen 3 and run 3.But since im planning on taking the PvP route what aa should i go for?

basically you need to get pet hold.. so i would work on spell casting mastery 3 then pet hold
after that I went with crit dd, crit heal, (plus their gates and omens upgrades now) along with lightning reflexes and channeling aa's
Lot of aa's but as lifetap is about all that lands in pvp you want to channell it and crit it as often as possible ))
