Has ne1 found a place to solo in DoN yet?

I Tried to solo in Ascent yesterday......... REeminded me of POS frogs.

Mobs hit hard( not as hard as Tables) and i casted snare bout 10 times w/o snare resist

Mobs seem to run faster than most mobs when snared, i sanred the leporad and ran to other side of cavern, was close to me quicker thatn i thought.

While the xp would probly suck, comse nice gear( aka a 70hp/12Sta shield of trash!!! and not all that rare)( also a nice belt with focus Extend range type of FE.)

Also, how do i get Missions from the Dark Reign Camp? and are they soloable.

as far as missions go you need a minimum of 3 to start one is my understanding.

thundercrest islands (is that the name of the zone?) has a nice area to kite in front of the gates. If you are good at fd pulling you can cross the bridge and pull mobs that wander around the castle or pull the static spawns that are stationed at the gate or around the walls of the castle.

It was very easy to pull 3 mobs at a time, get them rooted (3 minute) then aggro kite one of them quickly.... i was using a lvl 70 necro with all spells in beta so base your ability upon that.

be warned about the gates on each side of the bridge... they were very difficult to open when i was in 3rd person view.. it may just be me.

dont know about drops ... i never did see any there while i was hunting... i did a few aa's there

What kind of exp are we talkign in thundrecrest?

I remember somebody mentioned that therei s a spot for a 70 Necro to solo for like 18% aa exp.

It's not thundercrest. The xp is not horrible, but it's not great either there. It is however really easy to kite there, I did some yesterday. I found the gates hard to open in first person view as well, until I kind of learned the 'sweet spot' of where to click - they are easier to open coming at them slightly from an angle than head on. Once I got the hang of where to click I had very little problems opening them though, and it kind of gave me an advantage on a PvP server of being able to trap the unwelcome and unfamiliar other folks who came by to disturb my soloing :ph34r:

The Nest was the place for 18% a kill in beta, not sure if it was nerfed/lowered since it came live. Also, mobs are super resistant, far more annonying than the occasional tables resist.

I haven't ventured much in DoN, yet so I'm not sure what else is good zones.
I zoned into Lavaspinner, not much room to kite around. The rock guy I tried hits very hard,and has some cast(similar to grey's golems i think), seem to have decent amount of HP's. tried to fear kite,but then got add; had to zone.. Might be oky to root/rot??
Zoned into Broodlands, did a couple of leapords/sneek guys/drake type thing. Found some path, and was several mobs around a little pond, pulled some of those,seem faster than most mobs when snared. Took a couple of faction hits for defenders of brood or something. Zone was pretty spread out,so kiting/fear is doable. Not sure how the exp is overall, only did a few mobs..
