Now i myself currently am a 59 necromancer on the Cazic-Thule server and i have heard a lot of mixed reviews about this pet and all i can say is.. if u want stronger pets be a mage and STFU already. This pet really doesnt seem that bad i mean it could be better by having a bit more hp or have the ds do a bit more but all in all its not that bad. I mean it isnt meant to outtank a warrior in the planes its meant to keep you alive by adding +1k hp over the LoZ pet and by it casting a 12pt ds even that little damage does add up. So all i can say is this pet is something i plan on using consistently i just got EoT and i look forward to LoZ and i think ill like this even better. So do me a favor if u wanna bitch about pets be a mage then complain because mages cant do nearly as much without pets as necromancers can... and if u dont like what i said Let The Flaming Comense cause i could care less cause i think this pet is awesome and i have seen it in action. And if there is anyone who does like this pet and has anything good to say about please post here cause like i said i think this pet is awesome

I hear that the 49 pet is still the best overall tank pet.

the 49th pet is good pre EoT pets after u get spec pets i would never go back to this pet as it only hits for 55 and has 2300hp while the others have more hp and hit for no less than 69

I bought this pet, for 100,000pp - was cheapest I'd seen in a month after the Shark money scandal.
Let me say a few things.
For the Money, and the level of the spell, the upgrade was negligible. The pet dies faster than the 61 pet for some reason against the very same mobs. The Damage shield isn't permanent, and if you're in a constantly moving environment like LDoN it takes a while before you pet get's the spell casted, AND it isn't like mage pet's spells, it take a few seconds to cast.
I have Summoners boon, and I often use Mage gear on my pet. I parsed my 61 pet and my 65 pet several times, once again against the same mobs, and found that my 61 pet missed 49% of the time, and the 65 pet missed 58% of the time. This was over a couple of days, so I could get a good average.
There is something not-quite right with the 65 pet spell, I wuold like to see a ltttle twinking to it, and tune it up a bit, but at the moment SoE is engrossed in fixing Melee dmg output (by giving them 10x as much work to do as they currently have mind you), so I doubt they will take the time to do a bit of tuning on CoB.
Ask someone to buff my pet..... they say why, it's gonna die anyways, just summon another one.... LOL....

Pretty much the same opinion as Gwer, don't lose any sleep at 65 because you can't get a hold of this pet. (Aside from it still being grossly overpriced for the purpose it serves) you really will not notice too much difference from it and LoZ.
I myself do not have a copy of the CoB scroll and do not plan to buy one until the price drops to a margin comparable to LoZ scrolls (may not happen for awhile, but I can wait).
If you want to have a pet that casts a self DS, and be able to boast having a 'child of bertox' 65 necromancer spell then by all means go on that power trip, but for utility purposes, you can save yourself 10s 20s 30s of kiloplats and use LoZ which has practically the same damn pet performance.
SOE needs to run these comparison tests instead of Gwer.*
*(Not that I did not love reading what you had posted, but perhaps if the results were founded by, and stuffed in their own faces, they would be on the mark to make the approproate changes.)
