Hi all,
I'm have been wondering if suspend minion would be a good substitute for pet disc? Instead of /pet hold comand could you just suspend your pet?
I also have a few questions about suspend minion:
I was curious to know if you can suspend and recall it while FD, and also how long if any of a reset timer was on this ability?
Can you suspend a pet when it has agro?
I know you can maintain buffs while crossing zone lines and even log out and keep pet with the higher rank of the new AA, and ultimately I plan to have all lvls of the ability as well as the pet disc.
I appreciate any input you all can give me on the subject.
Thanks,
Veratu

Depends on your play sytle. If you are a raider pet disc > sm. I personaly consider pet disc higher in priority than SM, but its all up in how you play. How many times have you lost Goner cause you got hit and he attacked the mob while you are FD.

also probably depend on raid leader. I have been on many raids where the leaders says to get rid of ALL pets. From his point of view you can wipe the raid if you forget to <pet hold> so to be safe suspend them so there is NO doubt .

Pet Hold is much much better for raiding and pulling than Suspend Minion.
You can not suspend a pet that has agro (the summon minion spell also works in this manner). The trick around this is if you have pet FD AA (another 3-9 AA) you can FD your pet then suspsend it due to the pet not having agro if it's FD is successful. But again, this does not make up for pet hold as it isn't instant which is really important when you get into raiding and there's again no guarantee on success of FD even with pet FD AA maxed.
You can not suspend a pet while FD, the AA is like a spell and has a cast time associated with it (4 seconds). It doesn't have a recast time, so spam it all you want.
Suspend Minion (now that pets don't poof when you invis) is mainly useful in that if your pet dies during a raid you have a fresh fully buffed/equipped pet you can send in immediately at no mana cost. It's mainly useful for pulling in that you can suspend your main pet and pet pull with a little pet, then kill little pet and unsuspend main pet to kill a mob.

Looks like it's pet disc first!

Persistant Minion makes up for the lackluster that straight up Suspended Minion has become, post see-invis pets. Even after that fix, I still killed pets left and right due to either being too lazy or too impatient to unsuspend my pet when I zoned.
For those who insist on raid buffing your pets when you go out to xp or farm , Persistant Minion will stop the buff timers from ticking while you're skipping happily to your camp (several zones away), so you won't have to unsuspend/zone/suspend 309472394782304823048 times. :P Also, a suspended pet will be ready for you when you log back in.

Aye suspend isnt a work around for the pet hold command, get pet discipline, and you can put off suspend for a while its nice but anymore its really only nice if you have the last tier of it which holds your pet when you zone or camp with buffs and toys.

As far as I am concerned SM is now a very useless AA since the change made to pets not poofing and I would love to see all them AAs refunded since I have SM II, GAH, but I know THAT will never happen :P
