POI hinge grrrr

Any one see the hinge drop lately?
I have spent over 30 hours in POI killed over 60+ scrap collectors all over the zone and no hinge.
Is it broken or do I have the worst luck ever?

You have bad luck.

I was in there for about 10 minutes last weekend with a group of guildies when one dropped. The only other necro in the group already had a hinge, and was there with one of her alts anyway, so i was the lucky bastard that got to pick it up. In the 4 hours we were killing in there i only saw the one drop.

The ironic thing is, i'm a ways from needing one. And my guild is close to being dead so nowhere near capable of helping me with Epic 1.0, much less 1.5 or 2.0.

If i could give it to ya, i would.:D

If you kill another 60 scrap collectors and it doesn't drop, then maybe you have the worst luck ever. It really is that rare.

Well I guess my lucks just sucks. This piece is tormenting me. I get this far in epic in 1 day and this one piece is wasting a huge portion of my time.
At least everything is blue or light blue at 66, so still exp even if its just a little.

Most of time the zone is totaly vacant. I get help from time to time but thats about it. The level 65 pet tanks pretty well and pet toys/conviction helps.
Most of the time I use a combo of argo kite or root rot pet attack.

POI isa nice place to get away from it all, but can't wait til the hinge drops so I never have too see this zone again.

Is the hinge drops totally random or should I head a certain direction for better drop rates? Going left is easier but have gone right from time to time.

I think it is your luck, to be honest, I got mine from the 4th scrap collector I killed. While killing in PoI to both do the xp-hoh flag, for my sk, and to get parts for the gate neck (also for my sk), I think like 4 rotted over the course of 90 minutes.

seems from my experience that going right out of the GY has closer scrap collectors, but there are more if you go left.

Some say it is 100% random, wasn't really what i saw, but the RNG does tend to be streaky.

I hit the left side and was able to get one for myself and for a guildmate. While you are there, /ooc that you are looking for an Elaborate Hinge. People were fairly helpful while I was there.

I went past the factory lived there long enough to get 54 shm level and a half in a grp full of 67+ chars.
