Soloed him tonight after about a 10min fight. Was a lot of fun! I dare ya to try. When I finally won I was at about 3% mana, couldn't have been much closer.

He is part of the arch lich cycle. Kill rhag 1, kill rhag 2, AL spawns.

This is an endurance fight from hell. The run up there is just not fun. There is an AE just before his room in the hallway, and since its curse based I couldn't figure out how to cure it. It was VERY nasty hp and mana drain, so for 30mins I sat there and tapped my holgresh elder beads, barely keeping up with the dot and keeping enough mana. After that was over, I killed the 4 guards and prepped for the fight.
Things to note:
He has a pretty ugly AE that is disease based, our best disease cure will take two casts to cure it. I just said F it and didn't cure it. I resisted it once in a blue moon with like 400DR. He has single target rampage, so your pet will die. Make a suspended one and get as much use out of these pets as you can. Hes leashed, so your going to get summoned, then run off and cast a spell and get summoned again.
Prepping: Make two Lost Soul pets, use your HEB to make about 20 heal orbs, and cast resist disease on yourself, along with whatever buffs you have. Once room is cleared the first time you don't have to reclear, the repop on the mobs in there are many hours.
Ok, start the fight with Fang of Death, Pyre of Mori, Nightfire, Funeral Pyre, and then Dark Nightmare. About that time he'll summon you. Sic your pet and hit your clickies. This is a long fight, with any luck you'll get 2-3 epic clickies in the duration. Every time he summons you, run to the corner. What I did to give me added advantage, was after I casted my spell and was waiting to be summoned, I would start running against the wall. So when I got summoned I would already be moving. Each round he is going to hit you, especially when your rampage tank (pet) dies. So your gonna need all the edge you can get.
Every 30secs hit a heal orb. Tap as needed, and keep those dots on him at all times. For me the fight took 12:07 and I inflicted 233011 damage to him, so brace yourself for the long haul. Once you win, make sure and cure yourself or you'll be so exited you'll die. I wasn't paying attention and was down to 1% before I noticed, thank god for those DoN clicky heals.
