Old school necro need pp

Hello all,
I took a 6 month break from EQ and boy has it changed! :ph34r: My server is a ghost town now. Thank god there doing server mergers.

Anyway I thought I would make myself a little pp and go farming. My first choice was Veskar, after 8 hours of camping the soulscream belt and not 1 named pop I decided it was time to try else where.

Next I went to Dulak no one was there so I spent the next two hours keeping the first 3 boats cleared. After two hrs of clearing 3 boats I didnt even have 1 gem.

Next I decided it was time to go to RM and kill some hill giants, well after 2 hours I barley had 1k.

I think they nerfed the hell out of the drop rates in this game. I need my spells, I spend all day LFG why I am soloing and no one ever groups me. So I never get any Runes.

Where can a 66 necro make some decent pp. I spent 12 hours farming today and made a whole 1600pp. That's down right sad! I rember when I was making 7 to 14k a day farming LOY why I was leveling and gaining exp. The most amount of pp I made in 1 day was 150k farming riwwi in GOD.

Btw I am not uber I have 3400hp and 4800mana unbuffed, I need a place where I can make decent cash. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Been making most of my money Bazaaring tradskill stuff for DoN and OoW. Can also sell some of the loot off the trash mob drops in NC, or can solo some of the Named there for Rune drops.

soloing DoN missions and sell the crystals might be the most modern way of farming these days.

but i got no clue, whats the price. i used all for myself ;)

On my server ( Lany's ) they are 500-800p a piece.

Once servers combine they will most likly drop to like 100-200 pp each. so just be aware of that. Best way to make plat usualy Essence emeralds at least I would say so. other then that can farm tribute items people will pay 1 plat per 2.5 tribute so use lucy's find items with hi trib and farm those. Other things can go solo in WoS murks and pray for the random zone drops and sell the looting rights or farm tradeskill items from DoN.

Side note nothing like running through broodlands and seeinf 4 dru sitting in a circle same guild tag not doing anything but foraging. Get within 100 range and some will camp(if ya get what i mean) muhahahah.

ah yes the memories of Riwwi,it's a damn shame they had to nerf it.I made well over 500k there in only a couple weeks before every necro on the server found out about it and perma camped the hell outta it.

My favorite ways to make plat: By Rikam
Make Essence emeralds pay 100 per sac and sell them for 300-400 each. Now put those EE all on a trader on another accounts(a friend who doesn't play alot also works).

While your trader is selling those head over to either NC or WoS murks. In NC you can kill the Ukun packmaster and the Pixxt mindbender(I think thats name) camp. Those pop every 3-4 spawns 20 min or so respawn and drop runes about 3 out of 4 times.

In WoS kill murks and you can get lucky on some nice augs or random zone drops and sell looting rights or put augs on the trader. Kyanite and other special effects sell pretty well compared to the stat/svs ones.

Other then that you can go to UP and see if Dathor Warlord is up and pray he drops the Dathor great hammmer which can fetch ya around 60-70k. (Hits for 500 quad and summons better be confident in yourself. Immune to snare and will run at 20ish%)

After that there is tradeskills which can net some plat after you spend the plat. I like making hero sandwiches from the meat in HoH when I go to PL my bard.

If nothing else can get a MPG/WoS grp and pray for runes(I really prefer the WoS camp by the Veltikorin area(called WTF on saryrn) it has Mantle of rebirth which if no cleric wants can be sold for around 80k).

Other then those ideas if you plan to just farm plat selling to vendors well good luck to ya. I hate mindless slaying, but RM giants are alot more often free with lower pop
servers. Also there is always the HHK gaurds.

If none of those help well then screw you and come up with something more original=).

P.S. But my new get rich quick scheme is doing DoN with my 6 man hydra crew. I can make like 400 crystals in 50-60 mins and sel them for 200-300 a piece(essence emeralds without needing people to sac basicaly-=).

Every DON mission I have been on takes 1+ hour to complete.

how do you make 400 crystals in 50-60 minutes?Well theoretically, if he could do 1 mission in 30 minutes, he could do 2 missions an hour so say 30x6x2 = 360 crystals in an hour.

Unfeasible? I dunno. That would mean (400 x 250pp each) 100k an hour. Figure that 100k is worth ~$30 (seems to be what people are selling it for my server forums, dunno what some place like yantis pays) - Rikam would be making $30 an hour... or ~$60k a year by farming DoN assuming you can't saturate the market (which I bet you could). Of course drop that price down to <100pp a piece and you might want to get a job at McDonald's... :blink:

I wish someone would saturate the market on Drinal now... I would gladly scoop up a bunch of crystals at 100pp a pop... but 2-300 they get out of my price range, and above that it just isn't worth it...

350+ on maelin, normally 400ish for radiant, and 500+ for ebon...

The easiest one I have done, and seen solo'd, was the creator mission.

I have seen a bard go in and do the entire mission in 18 minutes - at an avg. group level of 69/70 it gives 40 crystals -

That mission is begging for a nerfing IMHO and I would farm it like crazy between now and next patch - the risk vs. reward for that mission is non-existant.

Post merger with vazalle maelin's baz has radiant crystals going for 200pp initially. It's moved up a bit to a low of 240ish.

Older expansion camp I would suggest Droga. Should be able to single pull every named/PH in the zone pet pulling and can usually get a named up within an hour to hour and a half. Hell I once had king pop 3x back to back. Sword of the Bloodsworn, Kingly Boots of Splendor, Copper Hammer of Striking should all sell pretty quickly in the 3-5k price range depending on the item.

I won't say which mission I am doing to farm them but I am sure most ppl have done it. There is a 45 min lock out but from start to finish it takes me about 10-15 min tops. All hail the rezzing necro=).

Sounds like a mission in which you have to kill a single mob, and are somehow bypassing everything before it. Maybe an invulnerability suicide run so others can single pull the target? Either that or maybe use corpse camping against the mob to split it?

I think there's one that lets you do a simple hand in with few kills, but it doesn't involve rezzing.

After everything else I have loved been nerfed once it is too known I really don't give out the specific info(really doesn't help most people either way need your own 6 hydras to be productive)
