chatting in serverwide.necrotalk yesterday i asked if the DS pit area is best xp spot in NC and the 2 responses i get are "no" and "is school leader up" and no further explanation. can anyone tell me where the best spot to kite is? the murks are so easy they're pretty much trivial but its not like there is a lack for pulls, i never run out or anything. i found the school leader spawn and at the moment she is up, ive also read the guide about the bone-cracker area, which seems more of an emergency backup spot than a preferred area.
thanks - Ryan

The trench before you get to the hallway to WoS is the best spot to kite the murks. You certainly won't run out of mobs to kill. You also get to kill a roaming bazu and if you want you can pull the dragoorns and ferins from above the trench also.
The trick is getting this camp since it always seams to be camped.

The DS side ditch is the easiest kite spot, the WoS ditch may be a little better xp but it is a little more difficult. The wandering bazu sometimes has a very nasty stun, and the ferrans run very fast, so fast that if snare fails even with fabled jboots (+50% run) I still get tagged at least 1 time trying to resnare with 63 darkness, and I've affliction haste 4 and spell haste 3 so my cast time is slightly decreased, though I've not any extended range item. The dragorns at the WoS ditch are nice as they give Dragorn Loyalist faction, but some of them have silly procs too and force me to lifetap more then just enough to offset lich.
At 63 both camps give me roughly the same XP, I haven't really been doing enough aaxp to compare. It's about 0.5%/kill in a group, and mobs on either side can be killed at about the same rate. Finding either camp empty is rare on maelin lately.
If you can't/don't want to take out the wandering bazu, then you will have some down time waiting for it to path away. If your snare on the ferrans fails you may take some damage while trying to reapply, same with dragorn procs, forcing you to use more mana than you would otherwise and decreasing your efficiency. Mobs at both camps uncommonly snare too, and ferrans seem to have a higher resistance to my 63 darkness than murks.
I really like the ds side because it is simple constant pulling with a small group, though I'd take the WoS side if the group there can handle it, I've grouped with several who could not. As for solo, again the DS side is easy, but so is the WoS side if I stick to murks, though I have more down time soloing.
The bonecracker ridge is great xp, better than DS or WoS ditches, but is more dificult.

My favorite spot is the Murkerglider Stingers.. between the WoS area and Ukun Packmaster. They are all 65 MOBs. Park your friends on the rock and chain pull singles. When you get big, pull the Bazu (he wanders just close enough), a couple of Dragorn Guards and the Packmaster, or his PH, each cycle.
On the rock:

The area around the Bonecracker is hardly an Emergency spot.. I have soloed/doued there many hours. The dragorn wanderer does not pass the corner of the Bonecracker's pit area.. and this makes for a large, afkable kiting area.. ideal. And plenty of mobs.. you just pull from further and further down the trench as needed. Since you are puling back up the path, nothing can "pop in your path" and add. No.. I think of this as a good camp.. just not all the MOBs are 65, so sadly outgrown now.

The battleleader doesn't path down the kite path, but he does path to where you pull from, so you have a wait a bit when he shows up. That and the funky pathing/warping I've seen makes that place a spot I'll solo/group more regularly when I get a little bigger.
alla and eqatlas are still both down, but the warcraft bit's been up for a while now /grrrrrrr gnomy rage

You just pull him! Less running for you to get pulls..

:-P
After I hit 65 and get crit affliction down and a few others AA's then I'll try kiting in WoS. I've grouped there a bit and mistakes are a little more costly.

whats soloable in WOS? I've been in NC now for what seems like forever and a change of pace would be nice. What summons? Whats soloable? Been into WoS once and omw out of the tunnel got jumped by some dog and just decided to go back to NC since the zone was right there. lol. And the WoS side of Nc is great for kiting murks. I way prefer this side over the DS side. Besides the fact that some named murk can spawn right where you pull from. I can't remember its name atm but it spawns murk pups when your fighting it and they are pesky lil buggers. From what I"ve seen its not very soloable.

Fecund murkglider.
And you wanna invis into WoS, the mobs at the tunnel and just outside of it shouldn't be able to see invis.
There's suposedly a cave of undead non-summoning murks in WoS but I've never been.

Just my tidbit on WoS ... I sometimes solo there while semi-spamming LFG. The NW caves are kitable but you have to take the following precautions.
1. Learn how to kite and switch views (F9) easily ...its very important
2. If you dont have swift journey 3 then bring sow potions. The murks in WoS snared are about the speed of NC murks un-snared. Even if im off on that comparison the point is theyre fast ... you gotta run... stop just enough to not interrupt your cast ... and cast the right spell
3. Drink some caffeine! You gotta be on ur toes and bring your A game.
If you can get into a rhythym with these guys and learn when not to go into the cave and just wait on a repop you can do pretty well here .. and if youre like me you can just do this and be 10 seconds away from any WoS camp for a group. This place isnt the ultimate necro spot but its something different, a challenge, and gives you the right to casually say "oh yeah im just soloing here in WoS"
my 2 cents

What's soloable in MPG?? I"ve heard of non-summoning camps but I don't know which ones they are.
