Dinged 65 over the holidays. :-) I have arrived! Me and a bard were grouped and doing the kael arena. He was slowing (Level 48).. and I was killing.

Then.. cleric went LD in a group yesterday and I was cleric for over halfway through the adventure before she got back on. We won the adventure cause of it. I was even able to put in some decent dmg while clericing.

This pretty much sums up "arriving" when you hit 65. Excellent dmg, excellent survability, excellent versatility. I LOVE being a necro. Of every class I have played over 60, this one is the most fun of them all.

Congo Rats... Man I tell you when you hit 50 things slow down dramatically. I went through the 40's pretty fast. Dreadlands and Dulak and a few odd groups in other places and ZOOOOOOM.. At 50 it slowed down. Dulak was still good, but it is much slower moving up.. :rolleyes:

first off grats to all who have dinged.

Second I dinged 3 lvls over the hollydaze and am now 49, all of it done in BW at the giant fort.. the other night I grouped with a 54 wizzy there and we were pulling/kiting 2-3 at a time and when fort was clear we were pulling wurms, great xp and great vendor trash made almost 1k in about 2 1/2 hrs...

also new pet rocks, he can almost stand toe to toe with the lt. blue arbors

Dinged 36 yesterday. I don't get to play my necro as much as I would want. I've got a higher level Enchanter that gets called upon to do CC and such with the guild fairly often.

Still loving my necro though and would love to have him in his 50's soon. May need to sneak in some time when I think I can be alone. hehe

BTW, hunting in Stonebrunt Mts. and love it. I've leveled many characters out there. Easy, safe XP. Usually I'm the only one hunting out there. Can start out low 20's and hunt there up to around 40. Great if you have a lizard/horse too since it's outdoors and you can med/regen all the time.

Probably going to hit SolB after I leave here.

Pottery....all unfired of course, cause firing is a much lower triv:

Planar...then make them peridot for manual quest..sell in baz for 150pp
Opal...of course they sell cheap but sell fast at 20pp
Crucible of Escape....quest item also...about 200+ in baz

On the pottery question...

Once you trivial Planar steins (216ish, IIRC?) if you have access to a chanter and/or a karana druid or an iksar shaman, look into the old school idols. Karana takes an imbued plains pebble (which you can often find pre-imbued in the bazaar for 5ppish) & trivials at 242. Cazic-Thule takes an imbued amber (never seen any of those in the bazaar tho) and trivials at 248.

stats are total crap and firing 'em takes glaze made of permafrost crystals and iron oxide, so just burn 'em as you make 'em.

heh, 14 hours and you only went from 37-41? You should of been on Gunthak or the DL combine city soloing and you could of done that in about 4 hours. Just trying to help. ;) Gratz on dings tho.

If you were unaware about this, if you are in skele form and sitting and want to be up at a normal sit height all you have to do is zoom out by using the scroll wheel and then go back into normal view. It resets your vision level as a normal sitting level.

And I dunno, but I never felt like I was xping after 60, every level just seemed to fall into my lap. The power you get with your 60s spells is amazing. Prior to that I had to really push through some though.

I dinged 10 last night, and i figured it was a big step in my everquest career. But now im finding it very hard to gain exp, and i was also wondering what some good gear with stats would be (my cloth armor just doesn't cut it ya know?)

:lol: Ding 55... Plane of Nightmare taking out those freaking Werewolves in the SouthEast corner of the zone past the small waterfall.

Made 1500 plat in a couple hours. They drop Diamonds, Blue Diamonds, and Raw diamonds like candy. I had a Druid with me and it was his charmed pet and my pet and root and rot and we rocked. Necro/Druid is an awesome pair if you ask me.

Be advised that you will survive about 5 hots from one of these buggers and your pet goes down FAST!!! YTou got to let a real tank or a Charmed pet maintain agro.

What worked for us was that he snared, charmed, then gave a buff to his pet for fighting. (Otherwise my pet would out agro his and bye-bye pet). The druids root is better. Then rot then away. We took 4 at one time, but that was sketchy. Was getting about a blue tick per kill so XP was tasty.

Happened by accident actually... Didnt realize two were light blue cons, so i started farming. In the last week mustve raised about 9k plat and accidentally dinged 45... Too bad they dont give xp anymore...

On a side note, took 2k plat and invested it in a Dwarf Warrior. Just for a change, to see how a melee type grows.
