Well, i know there is a good site to find LDoN items but i think it would be nice to have them listed in this board for easy access. I have placed a link for each spell so that you can take a closer look into them. I have not created any of this sites neither i am the author of any information listed here, i simply put them together for easy access by us so give credits where due.

These spells are found in the Lost Dungeon of Norrath dungeons, so in order to have them you must first have the LDoN expansion, second you must get enough adventure points to get them.

This site is good for information: LDoN Items (http://www.squidbox.com/skp/eq/ldon/list.cgi)

If you need a more detailed explanation, click on the spell name. The information in parentesis, ADVP stands for Adventure Points you need to purchase the spell and DUNG is the dungeon where you must adventure to be able to purchase that spell.

Has anyone used these yet? do they work? can they set off the trap/curse if the spell fails?

The Spells themselves will not set off the trap. There is however a one in four chance that the remove trap spell will fail. You will not know if it failed until you try to open it and the trap goes off. You still get the item though. I reccomend not trying to open chest while your adventure is not won. Even after the win, do not open the chests while you're group is engaged. Make sure that everyone in your group is aware that you're going to open it and give those people who are fraidy cats the chance to leave if they want. It's worth it so that you get the loot to yourself anyways. Got a few gems, an augment and a hafling illusion potion so far. not too thrilled with myself for spending all those points on this, would rather have saved up and bought Imprecation in hindsight.

Hears what I've heard and researched. The trap line, is worthless until the greater, don't bother with anything else. the bounce and reflect might have a use, but the duration on them is so short, I've not found a case its worth a spell gem for, I think harmshield would do just as good. I'll not bother getting them until their nothing else I need. The curse and dot lines I hear are really nice, but I've not gotten any of them yet, I just spent all my points on my first set of trap spells. I know the Horror from the EF dungeons is a nice prize to go after also.

Has anyone in PvP tested the Bounce line yet? I could see a semi-use for them there (although not that familiar with PvP, a reflection spell would be neat). Just curious if anyone has tested these yet.

Horror rocks. Period. It t is now my favourite and most used dot.

Pluses:
430 pts/tick for 5 ticks is AWESOME
Curse-based (almost impossible to remove in PvP)

Drawbacks :
Resist is Magic -30 so you do get occasional resists
Recast time is 24s (4 ticks) so you can't chain it on multiple mobs

Get it. Use it. Love it.

Has anyone done any investigation / parsing on the Calliav line ? Anyone know how many hits it absorbs ?

Calliav in conjunction with ToD can allow your pet to tank some decent mobs, that said, we don't really pet tank often so, it's pretty limitted...I wouldn't recommend anything in LDON over horror(it's a sweet dot) with timelapse I get 7 ticks at 430-516 per. It's very very nice.

Thanks for the info. I did not know about Horror and am feverishly trying to get into EF groups to get this one. If this will stack with Funeral Pyre, it should be a killer combination. I picked up bounce sometime back and cast it once just to test it out and was extremely dissappointed to see the duration. Seems to me you have to time this one just right, knowing you are going to be cast on, then hope your 40% chance occurs.....unless I'm missing something here, my spell slots are to important to be occupied by junk like this spell. Sure glad I didn't blow MIR points on this one. ;)

Level 63

Horror (ADVP: 650 DUNG: MIR) - Inflicts a dark curse upon your target, causing 430 damage every six seconds for 5 ticks.

Do you need the mana cost for the spell? If not, the other information is up there in the initial post.

I have set off a trap on a chest before simply by casting the sense trap spell on it.

The bounce / reflect line of spells is mainly good for one thing... PvP. Very very limited use in any other situation.

Timelapse ??

Please explain ....
Timelapse is a spell duration focus. If you are not time flagged however, you can get the augment from MMC (BBM - Jagged gravestone of affliction - 1150 pts.), that is also a dot duration increaser (minimum of one extra tick per dot).

NeSikWay

Doomfir, yep, you've confirmed what I've heard on the bounce line. I've had the trap line, and and it still hasn't been worth it yet, so not sure I would advise anyone to get them til they balance out the reward for the traps.

Protection of calliav protects a mob against 4 (i think) hits in melee

It will make you the most wanted person on hard LDON's as you can single pull every mob and is well worth gettting

Uses outside LDON i dont find many but thats mainly due to wanting dots up lol

I should point out that as a pure team dark necro we dont have access to bards so single pulling safely is a big issue with mobs hitting for lots )

Oh horror rocks

and i have the chest spells but never got anything worthwhile from them... cool to be able to open the chests tho

Kuvena

Take one green pet, add a Protection of Calliav. Think that would make a pretty sturdy single pulling machine.

the trap based spells are the most crappy in teh game. i feel cheated spending my hard earned adventure points on them i feel that we should get thoose points refunded. cuss i feel we got cheated on that one.

The trap spells are an absolute necessity for the MPG trial of Subversion. I dont know if they fixed it or not but at one time necros got both the INT and WIS caster type spells.

We still get both the Wuggan and Reebo line of spells, yes (at least as of a month ago or so, when i purchased them with leftover points so I could do the affore mentioned MPG trial of subversion).

should add now that the rogue epic 1.5 requires chests opening and so u can get in good groups with the spells

for the reflect / bounce line of spells ....don't waste your time they suck big time...the % for them to work is very low and the cast time and recast ...and waiting for the spell to pop up is beyond rediculas and another thing, it don't last long its like yaulp for clerics in that aspect.

Jebasiz

The mpg trial thingy requires spells to open chests too.

BOUNCE AND REFLECT sucks big time very slow pop rate lasts a few seconds and is very uneffective.

Those spells seemed to me that if I had a second (or maybe third) spell bar I might use them sometimes. But we don't, and I would never load them in my primary spell bar.

Sorry to wake such an old thread but it seems like someone thought it was important enough to 'sticky' back then.

Few questions about the "......... of Calliav" line of spells:

1. do they share a recast timer (asking because if not its probably worth getting one or two of the LDON versions, in addition to the 69 OoW spell)
2. how many hits do the different spells absorb. I'd always assumed that it was 1, 2, 3, or 4 hits (depending on the lvl of the spell). People are saying that they absorb lots more than that on allakhazam. My guess is that someone here is gunna know truth :)

thanks guys.

Xelgadis

Bulwark of Calliav (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=5436&source=Live) does share the same recast timer as the level 64 LDoN spell: Protection of Calliav (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=4081&source=Live), much like how Dark Nightmare and Horror share the same recast timer (only 6 seconds on the curse dots for over a year now, so kind of moot, but it helps convey my point). The previous spells don't appear to share the recast timer, but I'm too lazy to check in game.

The line blocks the same number of spells / melee hits as lucy indicates, 1-4. With blocked spells, it's pretty cut and dry, and easy to see. Blocked melee is harder to see as, once in a blue moon, pets can get a good run of actually avoiding hits. More often than not, a single round of melee will drop Bulwark from pets.

Essentially, in an earthshattering attempt to be nice, the people on Allakhazam who insist otherwise, regarding the Calliav line, are clearly full of shit and have no idea what they're talking about. But hey, since IGE owns Allakhazam now, such misinformation and retardism fits in with the place quite well.

I know for a fact (because I know Kerasota) that IGE wanted to buy Lucy. Instead, he sold it Alla for less (and some conditions).

At that time, I joked with Kera that IGE wanted to add a "buy it now" button to the Lucy item screen.. dynamic based on stock for your server, of course.

While that's funny.. I think the real reasons have more to do with advertising. Both traditional and to their own virtual commerce sites.

It always amazes me how many people don't know you can buy game money. And that it's easier to do than buy a book from Amazon. So I think name recognition alone is worth a bit to IGE.
