quad kiting

ok here is my thing i know necros are great at fear kiting, but can we quad fear kite. is this possable or not. i know i have taken adds and they are not to bad but that was only 2. and im at level 30, so with level 34 with the 42 second fear would this be possable and how would i go about going this. thanks for the info.

Yes it is possible to quad kite in a way with a necro...
But ive only successfully done it with dooming darkeness and splurt, killing the wyverns in cs...

this is how i did it....

single pull a mob by casting darkness on it to snare then cast splurt....
repeat... i have had up to 5 mobs at one time just resnare and dot as needed... if i remember correctly it doesnt take all that much mana to do... feel free to give comments on this and if anyone has ever tried it..

No. It is not possible to quad kite as a necro. We can solo kite 4 mobs at a time, but we can't quad kite.

One of my charectors was a high level wizard (sold him), and I have very extensive exp in quading. The thing with a "quad kite" is that you have to have AE spells to do it. I also dont mean rain spells.. but instant or DoT spells that hit more mobs than one at a time. Quad kite is a term coined because Verant (now SoE) limited the number of mobs affected b y these spells to 4. Only the point blank AoE's could hit more which are unsuitable for kiting. Hence why it is called Quad kiting. The AoE hits all 4 mobs at once. We do not have spells that are along the tears line like wizards and the druid's AE spells. Ours are targeted solo spells and as such are not capable of Quading with them.

We ARE however master at massive amounts of damage on single targets. There are mobs a wizard could not take solo that we are able because of our lich ability and DoT / Med ability. Not to mention he can't solo for shite in a dungeon. Root and nukes with no heals except regen sux for wizards. Everytime he nukes he breaks root and they whack him before he can reroot. Lots of downtime and low survivability in dungeon settings soloing.

Be happy and recognize this as a difference in class with no loss in funtionability /valuability.
