View Full Version : Anybody anguish keyed have signet issues?

I spent 3.5 hours or so last night in Dranik Sewers C trying to kill the dragorn guy that drops the signet. I was in the U shaped room, but only got his ph every damn time. Anybody who's done this already can you confirm that it does suck that bad, or am I just unlucky?
One alla post says 3 drops in 6 hours, with the 3rd at the last second before the instance timed out, so it may not be too out of the realm of bad luck, assuming his experience was normal.

It's pretty spotty - sometimes you can go several hours without seeing him, other times he spawn three times in a row. It's a crap shoot.

From what I'm told, the signet droppers, in instances specifically, spawn much less often then what they did right around the launch. I finished my signets within 2 weeks of OoW launching so I don't have too much experience in camping them recently. After helping a few people last month with a camp in the sewers, the only consolation I can offer with those instances is they're easy as hell, and the only consistency within them is..they always sucked, they just suck more now.

Spent another 2.5 hours with no pop. And the next day I got a tell saying that as soon as I left he popped. The rng loves me :)

The instanced signets blew, all around. While helping the guild do it's big sharding... err signet... binge, I watched several sewers and catacombs expeditions run full length and expire with the Dragorn never spawning. Luckily, most of the time one would spawn within an hour or so of starting another.

I was in the right spot and the right instance, it's just a crappy camp.
I finally finished getting the sewers sig (my last one that I needed) after my 8th time of trying for it. In all my times there I've seen the sig drop a total of like 5 times. Granted some of the 8 times trying for it resulted in utter wastes of time because just breaking in a bitch.
Breaking in is a lot easier if you can ivu your group members. I have not met an instance where any of the see invis mobs are anything but the murks (and usually the pathers). Taking a group (with a rogue preferrable, if not take yourself or a FD class to trip the trap and FD safely and then allow the rest of the group to follow) all the way up to just before the hallway with the murks and murk pathers. One by one, ivu your entire group in the little room right before that hallway (i bought innate ivu just for this camp, getting there and pulling here is helped tremendously by this aa). As a group move to right before the PH/named - the named can be up on instance start btw - and rush into the camp. You'll get there with only the PH and/or pather being agroed. This is the only way to get to the camp, and it doesn't work most of the time, because you know someone will be too far out and agro something that they should of avoided and not listened to you. But overall, I have been able to get groups to the camp intact this way.
As for the PH/named, expect the PH most times. The last time we got 2 in 6 hours - thankfully one of them was mine. The first one dropped after the second spawn in, the next with 15 minutes to spare on the expo.
Just be glad peeps are willing to go down there and wait with you when you do, entice them with chain pulling and some excitement as you're bound to fuck up once in a while and bring 4 at once. The exp isn't all that bad - and you can also pull another PH, the dragorn slave in the murk hallway can spawn a named after 25+ kills in the instance, which drops some decent droppable* stuffs. But that requires you to chain pull the entire 19minute and 30second spawn cycle you are at the camp.

I've found it works well if everybody invises, a rog disarms traps 1-3 (4th can be bypassed by not walking on it), the nec casts quivering viel, pulls all the murks in the big room to the far side while the group runs into the ph room, and nec dies, the rog gets the corpse, and a cleric rezes. This bypasses all mobs except the ph/named, and 1 wandering murk (#2) in the Dranik Sewers, and requires 1 death.

N/P. Since you're *lucky* to see 2 drops in 6 hours, you wanna maximize your time at the camp in the 6 hour instance, and this way is pretty fast provided you have the classes for it.

It's all luck simple as that. Keep burning the ph and someday the named will spaw. Took me about 18 hours for all sigs.
I did this camp for 6 hours with some guildies. We averaged 2 placeholders then 1 signet dropper....so 1 per hour almost like clockwork.
