I saw on the Casters Realm (http://eq.crgaming.com) main page a post about a change to FD that was posted on Monkly business. Says that to to aggro problems with FD, all MoBs will forget about you after two minutes. It also says that it should be verified with the next test patch and that it should effect SK's and Necros as well...
WOOT!!!!

Too bad if I was a monk It'd be quicker to /q and get back on. With a necro, giving up the mana regen could be a bad thing. Same for the SK, as you'll need to get a pet back up.

The change to fd is good...I can't tell you how many times I've fd'd and /q'd to find out someone else pulled an AE mob over me, broke fd and got me killed before my character exited the world. Also, you know you have 2 minutes...so fd'd and get a drink or something, there's no PW or hitting enter on the server select screen repeatedly anymore. You also don't need a group/raid invite when you stand again...I like this alot.

Since our trusty Boner poofs after 2 minutes of FD, he will become a good timer I guess...

Has this gone live yet?

I have read that there is an actual message telling you that <mobname> has forgotten you. Not unlike spells wearing off.

the message seems iffy, from what I've heard.
Also, with the plethora of 1017s Bristlebane's been having (and, I assume, other servers) and the recent tendancy to lock a character that's /q'd out and give 10 mins of 1018... this is a huge boon.
My last 2 /q as a monk caused at least 10 mins of waiting for each.

I haven't had my skeleton disappear after FDing, and I believe I've done it for atleast 2 mins. Any clue if they still do?
Maybe I just haven't waited long enough.

I think it was like 2 mins 15 secs when I timed it....for a child of bertoxxulous.

Boner sure does disappear if you FD for some time, Verant nerfed it a while ago when we used to go in dungeons, FD and let pet do the work ... anyway it is around 2 minutes, not sure EXACTLY how long it is.. Trusting Jeb on the timing.

Suspend Minion is nice if you wish to save your pet if you plan to FD for an extended period of time (AFK or whatever).

It's bugged :( I saw that, stood up, and had a room full of sand elfses pour out on me from through the door at the end of the room.

We should test that soonest... *giggles*
My friend the SK (I know, misguided Necro at heart) that pulls got the message the other night in the Crypt of Decay.. and it seemed to have cleared the wanderer aggro (good thing too *nods*)
I will try it tonight.. but I bet someone here can try it sooner..

Not unless they agro through walls and across a room. Only happened the once, though, on the 1st day. Now seems rock-solid.

FYI, You will see the message "Your enemies have forgotten you" only if they are in range. I have had to FD several times out of sight of the mobs and not gotten the message but agro had been cleared when I went back to kick its sorry butt.

I dont believe in the range factor.
I was in DL fighting & things went bad. I FDed... The mobs chased the last surviving member of the group to the FM zone. I was FDed at the SE Ruins. That IS OUT of range & I got the message that they forgot me after two minutes...
I have seen this msg:
I have read that there is an actual message telling you that <mobname> has forgotten you.
Then stood up, just to have the same mob who had walked away come charging at me....

Well if your still in aggro range ofcourse then it will attack you again once you stand up, Run a little further from the mobs spawn point or make sure he walks away if he's a roamer. Also if you have a spell stil active on the said mob then when you stand up it would probably aggro on you again, not a DoT becasuse you would see that being active, but possibly a slow. The "Your enemies have forggotten you" message is not an aggro range reduction lull or a complete mem wipe like chanty mem wipe.
