Epic 1.0

Ok this is story. Zoned into Plane of sky to get the last components for my epic. Was about 18 of us and when one of our clerics zoned in, all the npc Djinns came out of nowhere and killed her. We waited and rezzed her and as soon as we did another solo djinn came and tried to kill her. Well one of the groups attacked and killed that djinn and we all got a negative faction hit and all the mobs aggroed us on the first island and we wiped. So now I am KOS to the first island mobs and the djinn npc's. i believe the faction hit was residents of sky or something like that and GM's will not help and repeatedly say to ask for help from players. Any ever run into this situation or anyone have a remedy to this negative faction hit? Any info would be helpfull.

Sounds like somebody cast an AoE on island 1... That'll hit the quest npc's and is very bad.

I don't see any of the NPC's in alla as having a faction ascociated with them, or any faction with Sky in it other than one not related to plane of sky... And nothing with residents in the name either... The only listed faction on any npc in sky I saw was "Deepwater Knights"... You may be screwed now, ya really should not have killed the npc's there.

If you happen to go to first isle, and someone AEs, the quest mobs will aggro. Don't kill them. One raid killed one quest mob, and anyone that assisted became instant KoS to sky mobs, including Sirran. This meant those people were not able to get any keys, not able to do any quests, and not even able to port up for a CR. We had to go to the quest room, talk to all the NPCs to despawn them before we could finally get the KoS people rezzed up without getting them killed again. There is no way to fix the faction short of /petitioning and hoping for a kind GM."

Killing any of those quest NPC's on isle will make you insta KOS to everything in PoSky. Try /petitioning but i doubt a GM will help you.

My advice:

Don't even bother getting epic 1.0, its shit. And the keeper of souls doesn't drop the black silk cape everytime, nore do the azeracks drop the silver disc or isle 4 drop the spiroc feather.

Just do the epic 1.5 prequest, it'll save a ton of time trying to complete 1.0.

Huge thanks to sony for making our epic 1.5 reallllly easy, it makes up for epic 1.0 being a bitch.

Ok this is a really newb question, but I have never had a high lvl toon before.

Do you have to get your epic 1.0 before you can get your 1.5?

You have 2 options before doing your epic 1.5 quest

1) complete epic 1.0

or

2) complete epic 1.5 prequest (involves killing a few triggered spawns, 1 group stuff)

It's a matter of choosing which option seems easier to you, which in most cases is #2, unless your class epic 1.0 is really easy (rogue, shaman, etc)

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Yea epic 1.5 is only way to go now for me. and No there was no AOE on island just a previous toon that was kos . To answer the question of if a GM will help you..the answer is no.

Yeah the 1.0 sucks. I wouldn't even equip is most likely except to play with the look, but I want mine anyway. I've just got 1 drop left, the slime blood of cazic thule. I have never seen it in the baz (well, one time for 40k 6 months ago) and every trip to fear has resulted in unsplittable stacked DTing mobs, or the golems simply haven't dropped it. Bastages. I've got an extra silver disc sitting in a trader satchel, been there for weeks.

One of these days I'm just going to do the bypass quest...

I was down to needing 2-3 drops to finish my 1.0 when OoW came out. Finally got around to finishing it last month, out of principle if nothing else. It just sits in my bags, with the rest of my toys, only brought out when I feel a need to laugh at something ridiculous looking.

i have to redo epic from when orig unda got banned, but

someone please explain how right click manaless snare sucks?

"but unda, it has teh super long cast time" = i lead with dooming then when its about to wear just use epic 1, saves a shit load of mana, and if it resists just click again *click often*

if you ever kite and you say epic 1 sucks i feel sorry for you
with demi lich helm + epic 1 i get manaless near 200 damage a tick constantly thats on every mob i kite.

im 57, and epic 1 doesnt resist much on murkgliders in NC.

if you some of you didnt know! all of the darkness spells necros get
have a resist check of a whopping (0)

so your gonna be dealing with resists no matter what.

at level 57 i was kiting HoH and epic land's 2/3's of the time
if they resist, omg cast dooming once.

if you say the epic sucks your retarded and should bank your whole character as alot of you say you do with epic 1.

"id rather have my 100 hp/mana item on than have the crappy stats of epic" =
you dont get hit that often enough to choose stats over the epic click.

the item is underrater and ill be clicking this thing forever.

Manaless snare that takes longer then 3 seconds to cast sucks. Most I've met don't rely on a snare for DPS, just to slow the mobs movement. Resist checks on your level snares in NC besides the epic are always going to suck, that isn't the case with Embracing or Desecrating Darkness. Insulting people because they don't want to waste time that could be spent progressing instead of getting an outdated toy isn't called for. So keep on clicking that duckstick. I think some folks, especially the ones with KoS issues in PoSky are happy to do the epic 1.5 prequest, because it saves alot of time.
