Comatose VS Feign Death

I was reading up on necro spells since I haven't played in so long and I came across Comatose, which seemed to be the upgrade of Feign Death. After looking at both, besides the mana cost of Comatose being higher than FD, that didn't bother me. What I saw was this spell, that had the same cast time, but instead of lasting as long as you want it like FD, it clicks off in about a minute! Sure the recast time is shorter by 7 seconds, I wouldn't really see that as better if it just clicks itself off in a minute, unlike FD which just stays on..

Could someone enlighten me as to whether this spell is really worth it? Is the fail chance lower on Comatose? I don't get it. :blink:

Oh, also another thing about this, I heard that they're changing the FD rules so that if you're FD'ed for a couple few minutes, mobs just forget about you. This just seems to reinforce why FD is better than Comatose.

Is it just me or did SoE give us another somewhat useless spell?

Comatose stays on and does not break. That post you saw in alakhazam is bs. It works just like FD and lasts till you decide to stand up. If you have the ability to get it do so until you get Death peace which is better than both.

And btw, it was casters realm, but hey, it's hard to tell with either of those sites.. I'm definately thankful this place is around now. :D
