Power Leveling...

Hello All
I've recently made a necro after having played up a few other classes, cleric, enchanter etc.. and was going to see if I could make leveling go a bit quicker with the help of my other account ;) Anyone know if it's possible to set it up to where windows 2k will accept a second eq running in the background? Any helps appreciated.

I am not 100% sure on this, but i think that you can run two EQ's using a program called EQWindows or something like this.

Ever since Sony added the functionality to play EQ in windowed mode you have been able to run 2 or more instances of EQ concurrently on 1 machine without the use of third party software. You can even use the same installation to do this (i.e. there is no need to install eq more than once to 2 box). Ensure you have each instance in windowed mode and alt+tab between them.

When I attempt to start up a second EQ it gives me an error in the EQMain.DLL /sigh Wondering if maybe Win2k isn't EQ friendly or if it's me or there is a work around out there.

Figured out the problem. For some reason it will only let me 2 box if I set my color to 16bit in display properties. Thanks for the help guys.

You can use eqwindow with ease....

I do it all the time..

But, necros dont really need anyone to powerlevel, just alil gear and the knowledge of what areas to hunt at.. keep around undeads you will pwn them...

I Should know abow Powerleveling - I made lvl 54 and 3AAs within 5days - On sullon zek though, so alil more exp there.

when I run 2 eq's on one pc, it makes me lag like bazaar lag almost. I use windows eq hehe

Bah...I've dropped the idea of 2boxing on one puter (eqwindows or eq in windowed mode.) The "bazaar" like lag was too irritating and resulted in one or two unecessary lag deaths. It is much easier having 2 puters (pure 2boxing). I use a two monitors side by side. I had extra parts lying around and only spent about $90 on a bare bone system at Re-PC (PIII CPU). I don't really do much PL, but have extra toons I can use to hunt with and level if no groups are available. I guess you can say that I like to "play with myself" a lot.
