A little help please...

At the moment I am a level 53 dark elf necro named Pondac on the nameless server. I am in a bit of a dilema. I have 225 int and a little over 1k health ATM. The thing is, when I created my char 5 years ago I was clueless and screwed it all up. I only put 1 point into intelligence as opposed to the recommended 20. So, in all actuallity I should have 244 int right now, if I would have created him correctly. so, my question is, what should I do now that I'm 53?? Is this necro a lost cause? I was thinking maybe I should just start a new necro and transfer all my current equip to him and have a good twink. what do you think?

If I should keep going with this char, can I get some advice on what I should concentrate on buying to raise my stats in a positive way? Also, where are some good hunting spots at this level? Grouping in the plains is not an easy task for a necro at this level. people normally don't want me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

you didn't screw up. when i made my necro i put all the pts i could into STA and then DEX. INT is very very easy and cheap to come by these days. And considering how little exp you get per INT after you already have 200 INT it makes INT not that big of a deal.

its close to 13 mana per INT before u have 200 int. have 200 already and it drops to around 6mana per.

As a necro imo your biggest concern should be HP. HP = mana my friend, you should be conentrating on getting a lot more then 1khp.

At lvl 53 you can hunt in BW or SF with much success. Also should be dabbling in Maidens Eye or Scarlet Desert. There are all soloable and good exp at that lvl.

I have about 2.5kpp right now and I'm currently caping IG's in everfrost heavily, so I'm gaining a lot of money everytime I play. What are some good HP items that I can look into buying? since I have 225 int, I can sacrafice some for HP/mana items. so, give me your suggestions so I can go shopping!

Heh..int is pretty easy to max. Consider iksars that start with 110int. Now you just have decent stats elsewhere. A Z-heart, claw from charasis, amulet of unseen horrors, and you have 50int in 3 items. I don't think 20 is a huge deal :P.
Also consider any elemental/vt/time necro is probably sitting around 380-450int (if not capped) and you'll see that there's no reason to start over. Any elemental tailored series(cept earth) has high int, as does ornate...(assuming that's your goal) you shouldn't have a problem with mana.

Also, I looked at the profile and it's a little outdated, but I can't figure out how. It says 1004HP when I have about 1050. I'll have to look at my character and figure what's wrong with the profile.

These are all just general suggestions: remember there is no right or wrong way to outfit your toon, just your way.

One other question is...How much money do you have. This will also dictate what gear suggestions to make.

the suggestions with this :P next to them is one that i have on my magelo if you want to see stats.

1-get a PoTC earring asap (around 5k) :P
2-Ornate Silk Turban (3-5k)
3-razorfin earring (6-8k) :P
4-netted kelp leggins, pants of the storm, ( what pants you get will depend on how much money you have) :P
5-I would reccomend the Fleshweaver's Mark quest ring. :P
6-Find another int/hp ring that u can afford
7-Range is tough cause I commonly have a focus item in my range slot. However there are lots of decent range stat items that you should pick according to what u can afford. --I use a ceramic gavel in my range when I have a focus item there.
8-Fetid Flesh Belt (4-6k)
9-Iron Amulet of Unseen Horror for the neck piece (1-2k) -or Black Sapphire Velium Necklace (500p-1k)
10-Tactician's Bulwark for your secondary (7-8k) :P
11-Blood Bladed Dagger for primary (10-12k)
12-Terror Claw's Hide on shoulder (7-9k) :P
13- Hierophants Cloak for the back (7-9k) :P -or- Cloak of the Wise (3k)

Ok this is a lot and would cost you a lot to get at once. Main suggestion for you right now is to work on your HP.

All prices are from CT server, your server will prolly have different price ranges.

Yay, another necro from The Nameless! :)

I have to agree, hp is king. That said, I've found that finger items (rings) frequently make excellent pieces when hp are concerned. Looking at the Bazaar now (yay two-boxing!), searching for necro items with hit points, we have:

Fingers

Velium Fire Wedding Rings (AC 6, HP +65) for about 400pp. Two of those puppies, and you're up 130hp.

For a bit more, you can get one Ring of Thunderous Spirits (bunch of stats along with +75 hp, +75 mana). It's LORE, so you can only get one. They're about 1500pp average, but you can shop for lower.

Shadel Bandit Rings (AC 6, HP +55, MANA +55, Summoning Haste II) go for around 2k. Also LORE.

Band of the Bloodguard Assassin (AC 5, HP +45, MANA +35, SVM +12, SVC +12) for as low as 500pp.

Ranged

Sickly Glowing Orb (STA +5, HP +60) for sub 1000pp, for a double hp boost.

Insignia of the Brood (AC 5, HP +50) for 245pp.

Legs

Your leg gear looks like it could use an upgrade. I had a pair of Feathered Leggings for sale (AC 4, STA +7), as an example. Sadly, much of the better +HP legs are pricey. Grey Flesh Trousers (AC 7, HP +35, MANA +35) for 1500.

Ear

Ear pieces are another excellent source of HP... many items exist with +HP. Again, prices push 1k+, so have a look what's available every time you stop at the Bazaar to find any bargains.

With the Bazaar so fluid, in terms of pricing and merchants, your best bet is to keep in mind what your cash available is, and just make it a point to check the Bazaar for a few minutes each time you play. This was advice my guild gave me, and you can slowly upgrade your gear. It might take you a while, since you'll have to farm the plat first, but ultimately worth it. :)

I'm a Iksar necro on on Innuruk and we start out low on INT i'm lvl 56 and just with items i'm at 255 INT. I'd say stay with him
