Hiya - Im 65, with 35AA's : I have all the droppable runes in my bank and ready for the spells but im curious :

At 65, I kill a murk , i get about 6-7% AA.

Will the %AA I get decrease if I move onto 66 , 67 or 68 ?

If so - which is preferable - I can get an AA in approx an hour ( dpending on how lazy im feeling @ the murks in NC ) - but I've *heard* higher level necro's get an AA per 40 mins - which would be just dandy ! ( But I have no idea how uber they are lol ! )

What do I do ?

Thanks in advance :D

oooooo kaaay

65 > 66 cake xp flies at murks and youll ding no time

66 > 67/ 67 > 68 slows down but still moves so it doesnt feel TOO much of a problem

68 > 69 BOOOOOORING about 3 kills to 1% if i remember rightly.. might even be more

69 > 70 YOU thought 59 was bad... that was like level 1 compared to this...

AA xp on the other hand stays pretty common I do find theres not much xp there at 70 but its hard to tell as im normally only in NC to farm a rune or 2 for a mate so they twist my xp a little.

What I did was run at 80/20 reg xp at 66 and 67 in the attempt to force at least one of the bars to move when I killed a mob.

Remember too that you will kill the mobs faster with 68 as you have higher dot damage along with better darkness (I think cant remember when you get desecrating) and a better lifetap.

Couple this with death peace aa at 66 (which is so awesome its worth getting) levelling to 68 is the way I would go.

I hope that made some sense I had to type and send fast as my boss is on the warpath

Depends on where you xp at. I think I dinged 69 and 70 in one 12-14 hour marathon run in RCoD (of all places) on my necro. My sk... I spent most of the upper 60s in Fire, which wasn't so bad, but it is kind of jaded compared to other places to xp at.

If you kill mobs in the right level range (so 65-70+) you'll get more AA exp at lvl70. Afaik AA exp does not scale up so you need the same amount of exp to ding an AA at 65 as you do need at 70. Since the higher level mobs net you more exp you'll be faster with AAs at 70.

Though murks in NC won't fall in that level range!

I did 67-70.5 in powater in like 20hours total(split up over a weekend). It's really not that bad.

Aye but i kinda figured that at 65 if they doing murks fire possibly wasnt an option ;-)

only thing you might consider before leveling is critical affliction AA... it will help your soloing a lot... and maybe even the second set (ica) as you hit 67,68,69... other than that, if you have no problem learning new spots as you level, you'll be fine

Once you hit 70, there's a few places that still net the same exp as NC murks. Fire, Vxed, WoS, MPG (If you're feeling really brave.). If you have all the droppable runes, I'd say go to at least 69 to possibly get some groups in RSS for you no drop runes.

If you don't feel like you're getting the best exp possible, try something new and/or challenging. Before the dot changes, soloing the murks in WoS was a great break between the boredom of other spots; now, they're easy, peasy, and still boggles me that the camp is always open, unless some group feels like ignoring the named in the zone. Used them to level from 69 to 70 fairly quickly as 2 kills = 1%.

The only really compelling reason to stay 65 and AA exp is because you don't have any 66+ spells; so there's nothing really holding you back :)

It was a common belief amongst my friends (no characters above 65 at the time) that xp slowed down significantly as you leveled up. This is something of a popular misconception fueled by the first hand experience of grinding multiple levels on the same set of mobs. If you keep killing mobs within 4 levels of your level the XP will remain good. If, as you level, you seek out new mobs of higher levels or just hit the nice spots you will find that XP comes just as fast if not faster than at the lower levels.

If you have a spot that's silly easy (there are quite a few) and you do not want to leave it then by all means play there at that level for a while. It's a game, and if that's fun for you stick with it. But please believe me when I tell you that xp at higher levels does indeed come faster than at lower levels, or you're playing with the wrong mobs.

What the noam said, I heartily second.

It has never been easier to earn whatever I feel like earning. I do miss some of the old places (which is crazy.. since I have spent months in Drunder.. I should be happy to be gone).
