Heya all im doing a favor for a freind whom wants to start a new Guild.....
what they want to know is
what is a good site to start the home page on(they perfer free and no adds or popus)
If someone could help us i would be greatfull ty :D

Many sites may start off free, but as usage goes up so does the cost. I would tell your friend that if it's free(at all) don't expect it to stay that way, you get 50+ users and several hundred hits a month and the host is gonna start charging you $$. Many guilds use guildmagic, and ezboard for forums. I'm not sure on cost though.

guildmagic is free unless you want no ads then it is $30 for the first 6 months. Not sure what it is after that.


Ezboards is free till you get CSC GOLD then it becomes costly to keep up with the price.

msn.com has communities that are free, and i dont think any pop ups...haven't used it in a while, but that would be my recommendation

You could check out www.guildportal.com too, it's not ad free but it offers a lot of features on it's free option.
