gearing low lvl pet

can i gear even my lvl 4 pet with mage summoned weaps, or is that only possible with pets from higher spells on?

He can use them, but I believe he will be too low of a level to proc the effects of the modern summoned weapons - even the fists of ixiblat. For the level 4 pet, even a rusty halberd is a step up, so keep your eyes peeled for large damage "junk" weapons - he'll use anything you give him, but unless the (damage*2) is greater than what he hits for without it, you won't notice a change, IIRC.

A level 4/8 pet with a rusty scythe is a thing of pure beauty. They'll mow down orcs in Crushbone like a John Deere.

if you can get it, pick up a summoned girdle in the bazaar, the extra 650 hp means tanking reds solo.
