I think its time for me to change my hunting grounds, I just acquired lvl 34 and I had been in High Keep since 24. Right now I'm in PoK working on spell skills, but soon I'm heading back to lvling again. Any idea as to where I should go or if I should solo? And with either soloing or grouping, what is the best place for each and until what lvl? This has confused me, with so many places out there its hard to scope out the highest xp pool. Please Help.

try dread lands, or even rathe mountains and solo a hill giant or 2 depending on if u can handle more then one  , pull with venom of the snake, does enough damage for u to get full aggro *for those quad kiting druids, then it does really good dmg per tick, should have no problem taking it.
be warned tho, they are fast as crap, so u may want darkness on as well, and fear kite if needed.
 hope this helps some

another thing, when i used to use my friends 53ish mage, i would use his 730 nuke and it would take about 30-35% per, so they have around 2k hps at most, make take a minute or 2 to kill, but its possible B)

My necro just did 34-36 in Cobalt Scar, on the 3rd island where the boat leaves from. There are Snow Cougars there by the dozen, and they are a Piece of cake to kill.

Pet up (taunt OFF), Pull with a darkness, toss in a venom of the snake, and just kite it along the shore past the Gnome camp. They dont attack you/your Mob, so can kite past them. The cougars will be dead by the time your snake wears off, and you dont need to re-darkness. EASY, and NO RISK. I have yet to have a pull go bad, you can take 2 cats on easy once they are snared.

Oh, and you can try fear kiting here also, but I am having issues with the MObs warping as soon as I cast fear, so I gave up and just aggro kite now.

Good XP, Zero Risk, Very little downtime. Give it a go.

Last night I worked on my spell skills until I seen that they were fit enough to hit the field alone. So where did I end up going? The Great Divide. Seems this place is a hidden treasure, well really not hidden at all having that the PoK book ports right to it. But nonetheless I have heard nothing about it as far as leveling. The mob traffic is huge, enough giants to form an army. They all con white and yellow, which isnt good for now, but there are drakkel wolves to carry you to 38 or so. Plus, if you stay near the PoK book, then its pretty safe to kill. I think I'll try it out and see what happens. I went to EW and was blown away by the higher lvl mobs, TGD seems to be more lvl 34ish. Keep posting ideas though!

Yes, The Great Divide has always been an overlooked zone i think, with my necro i went from lvl 30-32 in no time i was getting sometimes a whole blue a kill for some of the easiest mobs ive ever fought.

Again I agree, I hate to give away a good spot that seems to be overlooked. But at 34 I am getting a bubble of blue for one blue kill, and I'm Iksar. They are easy kills to carry you to about 37 or so, then jump to the Giants. Fun place and a lot of room for kiting, plus its safe too:)

great divide is also great for factioning, if you want CoV or (claws of veeshan) factions.. My guild is requiring us to get this faction for ToV and Ntov raiding, if yer faction sucks for Cov it makes raids hell for Cr's. Killing giants, helps CoV factions, or killing in Kael is actually better. But if yer trying to lvl in these zones, xp is decent the giants are wimps, and often if yer at the giant fort in GD, u will see some higher lvls tagging yer mobs for faction hits, and will help ya out a lil bit in the process :) for good xp, try EW, and do orc forts, or the giant fort there, there are some easy kills in the early 40's, late 30's.. orc fort is good up to 45 ish.. xp breeeeeezes through..sometimes you ll see some peeps take over the fort for the ringwar, but thats usually very fast, and sometimes they give buffs for the interruption and good ole stuff like that

Aye I remember seeing hits for faction on Veeshan, was wonering if this would be usefull for an Iksar or not, I guess any faction is good. I started killing Frost Giants last night, they fall pretty easy, still con yellow but it makes it a rush. I'll continue hunting there a while

One post in here mentiong Cobolt Scar and then described killing Snow Cougars. I believe they may have been talking about Iceclad Ocean - which was a favorite for me at lvl 34 as well!

Also, you may want to try Rathe Mountains. I would snare, pull down in the narrow valley, fear, sick pet, dot, and med. By doing this straight through 3 levels, I was able to buy a mount for around 10k before leaving the zone for Dreadlands and Great Divide in my upper 30's.

Hope this helps!

I do believe they were talking about Iceclad as well, because Cobalt Star if I'm not mistaken is very hard to get to, and very dangerous. I have fought in Iceclad before, I'm just wondering if at 34 it will provide enough xp to keep me happy. Considering the old group again with all this time involved.

Cobalt Scar is also a higher level zone if I remember right. However, if you do go to Iceclad, make sure you hit Tower Of Frozen Shadows. One of THE best dungeon zones around. Not sure how far you'd get solo in the 30's but with a group it would be a blast.

You mention ToFS and it is still one of my fav laid out zones of all time. I just wish they would have finished it to the 8th floor. Tserrina wasnt suppose to be the last mob in the joint.

I solo her when I feel like pounding a dungeon for one reason or another. It is funny too because when I was leveling my wizard and Velious was new, I went there to get her robe. In over 23 kills with my wizard, I never once saw it drop. I came out with every other peice of loot she drops but not the robe. I esp like her staff which procd a lifetap... which for a wizard was cool.

Then I go in to just solo her for fun with my Necro and what does she drop? You guessed it.. her robe.. and I don't even need or want it anymore. Too bad. It is prettier than my ornate robe (which is ugly as heck), but the stats are junk. lol!

I just wish that the torchs that drop on her floor (proc steal strength) would not be no rent. I could farm them for my pets but alas they are no rent.

at 34 im doing dsp, blue mobs by the ton. easy to kill and little down time, still seeing with the 34 spells. i leveled my monk from 28 to 42 in this zone, yes the loot sucks but penty of areas to kite the mobs. i may try to argo kite in this zone and see how that works, becuase it may be even more mana efficent. just my 2 cp

If you do GD and they are white/yellow, there is a good spot to camp/fear-kite.

Facing the EW zone valley, camp to the right of it, on the hill. Park pet, load darkness spell, root, lifetap, fear, etc. There are 2 static spawns (one in front of you and one to your right that walks away from your camp) and one wanderer if I remember correctly...

Buy some SoW potions....when a spawn pops, it will after a few seconds start to move away from your camp.....just run up and dark it......then lead it back to camp while dotting, then fear and send pet....re-fear and dark as needed.

Have the root loaded in case the dark doesn't stick.

You can also root-rot there but keep the dark on in case root breaks and have a pet with taunt on in case you need to run. Zoning to EW is easy and realitively safe.

If you fear-kite, to level faster...make sure you get at least one point of melee damage on each mob.....yes, if you melee and get at least one point of damage that way, you gain xp faster.....

I think Ill try that Origo, sounds like a plan. I went back to HK for lvl 35 and 36, so I should be ready to bang it now. I dont have anything to melee with, and I didnt know you gained more xp with melee dmg. Might try to do so. Thanks for the insight, this is getting easier as I go along, it was tough as hell.
