Goshozal Sans Merci

I'm level 62. I've been away from EQ for nearly two years, and did 56-62 in a couple weeks since the start of January. My equipment is, at best, mediocre.
Any suggestions for what so farm for cash? I haven't ever really farmed before, so... yea.
Since you're not on my server, I suppose I can share this. ;)
I will occasionally farm for pelts and silks in Eastern Karana. Tactic is simple: Kill everything that moves.
If you have any skill at tailoring, you can combine the silk to silk swatches, which usually sell for more than the individual silks. If not, then at least sell the silks in the Bazaar. Not sure about the prices, but 5-10pp per silk is not unusual on The Nameless. That's 100-200pp per stack of silk. Silk swatches usually sell for more than double the silk price... last I checked, it was 25pp per silk swatch on The Nameless, or 500pp per stack.
Quality pelts of all kinds are also useful to tailors. Save them up and sell them too, or if you can get hold of some spiderling silk, combine 2 spiderling silk to make silk thread, then combine that with a low quality pelt to make leather padding. Leather padding is used in upper-level smithing. Prices on The Nameless vary between 30 to 50 per padding. I recently sold 2 stacks of padding for nearly 2k. (You can skin Medium and High quality pelts down to Low Quality with a skinning knife -- see a smith about making one for you.) Individual pelts usually go 5-15pp per pelt. Check your local Bazaar for pricing.
For the more straight-forward cash-and-carry route, I'm sure someone will mention the giants in Rathe Mountains. They're always popular, because they drop lots of plat and you can make a good bit per hour. However, they're almost always camped due to this.
One zone with a decent amount of cash and low risk to you, is Dulak Harbor. At 62, these mobs will be a joke, but if you want AA as well, they'll be decent AAXP filler. They drop up to 5pp each, as well as weapons you can sell for several plat. Just don't take the Shivs, they don't sell for much, but a lot of the other weapons do. Depending on how much inventory space you get, you'll be pulling at least a couple hundred plat worth out of here per hour. More, if you can collect the weapons. I've done all right here at 54, but at 62, you should clean house.
As a side-bonus, if you haven't done your Legacy of Ykesha quest spells, you can farm the components at the same time in this zone. (The quest turn-in NPC is in Stonebrunt, southeast corner near the docks.) There's a tunnel behind an illusory wall that you'll need to go into. Check Allakhazam for information on these, or perhaps the Quest or Spell boards on this site.
Anyways, those are my suggestions. Good luck!

I like droga and veksar...pick your spots depending on difficulty, being 65 would definetly help a bit for droga but there should be many spawns still doable. The loot seems to sell well, and fast..and there aren't many people in either zone(most of the time). Acrylia caverns is a bit more fun, but the casters there can be rough without very high resists...I'm still learning the way around there, but atleast for the momemt it's not uncommon for me to end up with a few adds per kill cycle. Solo, I'd still say veksar and droga(simply cuz they're pathetically easy) Some LoY zones like nadox/hf/torigan can be fun as well, although you may want a slower partner with you unless you want to root/rot. Touch of death will make camping alot easier.
Tenebrous mountain coterie castle is insanely easy(I've seen level 58 necros soloing there) if you have to have decent cash right away.
