I am level 55 on FV - what is the most efficent way of farming PP? i dont mind doing items - i can leave my trader up while i am at work - just running out of coin - and need more - spells dont grow on trees - well - sorta but not really - you get the idea.

Well...you could farm Lower Guk dead side easily enough and collect plat, FS weaps, phosphorus powder, minor gems, jewelry and gear. It's not a huge windfall but it does add up. You'll even get exp there - I still do this and get a bit of AAexp at 59.

Dulak boats for gems and captains' drops is another idea. Grimlings in Grimling Forest for Etched Acrylia runes and Acrylia ore can work, too.

There's always the Felwithie guards. I think they nerfed ex for kills in cities, but I'm not sure. I can't tell, as they're all green to me now.

But, it's 20.9 plat per kill, and they drop gems as well.

Tizmaks in GD, go through their caves, loot every velium weapon that drops. Convert all of the velium weapons to small bricks of velium, then convert all small bricks of velium to small pieces of velium. Each weapon will that they drop converts to 2-3 small pieces. So each level 30 Tizmak you kill that has a velium weapons is worth 50-100+pp depending on the market for velium on your server. At 65 I could get about 150 small pieces an hour, at mid to late 50's you could probably do 100 or so.

wtb portable forge Indeed, instead 8 100% weightless bags... 64x3x25 = potential of 4800pp a run before you absolutely have to head to a forge. But then, small pieces can go in the neighborhood of 30-40 fairly quickly on drinal... skyrocketing the profit.

// If I see another Tizmak I will be sick... I wasn't using them for profit, I was gearing up 250 combines of Artic Wyvern armor... ugh 6 small pieces a combine...

This looks like a good idea - is there a guide on which ones to kill? I have heard of these - but are you talking the exterior - the ones inside?

Timzaks is a good idea - for nothing else for working on tradeskills. I was not aware there was a recipe to convert weapons back to the base metals.

Some very nice ideas - if anyone has any more ideas - keep them comming please.

I was not aware there was a recipe to convert weapons back to the base metals. They just put the conversion recipe in this summer some time for Velium weapons... some other weapons have conversions as well, not versed in them though... Just need a velium hammer and the weapon (I believe). Then a chisel to break the bricks to small pieces.

The ones inside. They are paladins, and can buff themselves (annul a few times with FD to clean them off) and lay-on-hands to heal themselves. Once the camp is broken, you can pull them before they rebuff. They're not pushovers, but the zoneline is just a few steps away, so it's worth a shot as long as you don't go all berserker on them.

Screaming Terror can mez them before they can get LoH off.

There are a total of 12 guards you can pull, if you have the levels. Realisticly, depending on your gear, you can prollably do 6-8 of them with ease.

As you zone in there are 2 wanderers. If you want to make it easy, wait for Guard Legver to wander in. After you kill him (dark, splurt, whatever else) look for Mystan. He's the other wanderer. There are guards at all four corners of the bridge. I usually pull from right to left. Kill the two front guards, and then hug the left side of the bridge. Turn around and back down the bridge (you do have dmf up, right?) as soon as the guard agg's you, run for the zone.

Kill him, and pull the other one from the opposite side of the bridge. There is a wanderer that paths up here (can't remember his name) but only one. Now the hard part is over. As long as you don't go in any buildings, or get too close to Llia the Pure, or whatever her name is, you now have run of the city...well, except for that bard, and he deserves to die anyway.

If you're feeling spiffy, you can also do the catwalk guards. There are 3 that roam up there, but they spawn in the middle of the zone in there, where Mystan and Legver do. With pets staying when you invis, it's easier. If you go into the Central building, there is a passageway on your left. Take a left at the bottom of the stairs, and go into the middle door on your right (may only be one, been a while) the back wall of the room is a fake wall.

Follow the passage one way or the other....kite back the other way, and kill all 3 up there....invis and dmf back down to zone in.

Bring good bags, and be prepared for the begging. My usual response is 'When you can manage to kill one, you can loot one.'

If you have any questions, email me at kvenya@gmail.com or, failing that, make an alt on 7th, and I'll show you the pull....

The frogs in old sebilis drop those flower things that are used for potions now..you could probably farm the hell out of those and sell them in the bazaar for 50-100pp a stack. I know for instance, our guild bank funds that for our shaman..so the price you set(as long as it's not completely outragious) doesn't really matter, since "it's not my money" from the shaman perspective.

heh dummy me I gave one of our shaman like 6 stacks I had in a bag... silly I know but I would give em to women who were nice to me in game as part of my RP which I dont really do well or often I started with like 7 stacks I think and had damn near all of em left. Once again its a slap the idiot who doesnt keep up on trade skill item cost things one thing to give a guildy stuff quite another to not realize that you just dropped 500-600k worth of tradeskill suff on em with scoriae, slugworms, and trean flies=P

Not that I am hurting for cash but upgrades for me run around 100k+ and I usually have about 40-50k at any given time just in the crap I do sell or loot.

So ya advice on that is put everything up for sale on your trade bot afore you vendor/give it away or at least be concious of how much you are giving one person at once in stuff and mean to do it.

No wonder that shammy me best bud now either=P

what level were you when you farmed these?...at level 56 it resisted my darkness every single time i casted.

i proceeded over to the Tizmak cave and was let down by the fact that hardly any have weapons...then i recalled that when i was doing factioning to get good with the kael faction, i would hunt the coldain wolfmasters....these proved to drop a fair amount of velium weapons as well as coldain head (and since they are used for factioning quest you can get between 50-100pp per head).

I spent several hours doing this, until i got bored. i wandered over to the wurm cave and started hunting them....i ran into a big open section where alot of blue con wurms were up. i pet tanked them in a clock wise pattern and got a fire emerald - 80p and a fire opal 40pp at the merchant!...as well both coldain and wurms drop 4-8pp on average.

i am in the same place as you are mislander....im mid 50s and broke as well as lacking ALOT of spells from lvls 50-56....

hope this help...im hoping it'll help me as well!

the guards in sanctus seru drop decent plat and should be doable in the mid-50s... just avoid the ones that /con too high (some summon)

well, like i posted last time i've beeen working on wurms in GD....so far i notice that they are relatively easy....just becareful with adds and you'll be golden...they drop spells, gear, jewels, and crystalline sulfurs.....

so far i've also found a named "shardtooth" that drops shardtooth's flayed skin (tunic 14ac 45hp/mana/endurance) and a crystalline eye both sell for fair cash.

now is this the tizmak cave near the dwarven city? or is this another cave, that might be the reason.....

i also happened to forget that i have a lvl 65warrior time geared......so when i realized hey wtf am i pharming these with my necro...when i can slaughter them all with my warrior....needless to say all went smooth sailing with the wurms cept for a blue con named Kardakor whom proceeded to whoop my arse like i was a pinnata full of goodies....i did come back and lay a can of whoop arse with both infusion (max stats and resist > kardakor's 1.5k DD geflux) and servant (nice 600hp hot buffs)....what gets me is that the fucker didnt drop shit!!! omgz...

anyways i racked quite abit of goodies with my warrior...enuff that i have 8bags all completely stacked with spells, words, gear, and jewels for sell.

Yeah, it's a pet tank. Fight in the zone in hall. Just lay your dots, fd, and keep your pet alive. Nuke/tap as needed.

Oh, and they're Pally's so look for the LoH. If you can tap/nuke at the right amount of health you can negate it. They will turn and run, so don't let them get too far back into the zone.

If you agg the Exterminator (very rare) zone or if you can fd pet, use that.

Think that's all....
