go into your everquest directory

/right click your eqgame executeable file

select delete

done

Everquest is the only of those games that can force it's players to vote - surprising it isn't winning by more. Thanks for hijacking my log in screen, now I'm refusing to vote for EQ on principle.

Might have gotten more responses putting the poll in a different section but ya... gotta love that 1 person who is clueless and 9 that think SoE can go to hell.

Might not be so bad if they didnt all but force you to vote for them by having it pop up every time you log in.... then again it might not be so bad if they actually hired some CS reps who actually cared about their customer base... or hey make their reps actually be accessable thru the petition system, emails, live chat, or even the phone instead of adding more layers of crap to wade thru every time you have a problem... ohh shit sorry forget that last part that is prolly asking too much.

Not giving the slighest lump of crap whether or not Everquest won, and being equally uninterested in dealing with extra clicks to get in, I simply selected "Vote Now", let it load out to the webpage, clicked the initial link, and then closed the browser and went back into the game and about my business. I haven't seen sight nor sound of the Vote request. My guess is they only test to to see if you clicked the Vote Now button. So, do it once, and nothing more, and you can get rid of this.

When I quick "Quick Connect" or whatever it is, I am truly serious about quickly connecting to my last server... i am not interested in being spoon fed sony crap when they do little to no crap in my best interest. I love this game, but I have no love for sony.

Starcraft, in a late move, has overtaken Everquest and shot to a remarkable lead over the EQ giant, despite Everquest's constant and increasingly forceful attempts to have its players vote. Perhaps this barrage of voting encouragement has backfired and left them sucking dirt. Who would have thought that 'vote for EQ' click throughs, MOTDs, posts on the forum, announcements on the website, and finally in game system wide announcements would be too much? :P

I was curious too. This was the only reference I found for it on the site.
