Level 22 - EC or PC?

Hello,

How are you all doing? I hope you're doing great. I was wondering what would be a better xp spot for a level 22 necromancer. Echo Caverns or Paludal Caverns? EC is yellow-red and PC is mostly blue. I've xp'ed at both place but didn't notice a difference. Which spot is better?

Also, would it be better xp to find a dungeon group at butcher block of level 20-30's?

Well I think that there is a exp bonus in both PC and EC these days. At around 23 or so I would think you could move to EC. I soloed the needilites (sp?) until almost lvl 30. Only problem is when I was lvling there it was not a hot spot and the zone was empty most of the time.

is soloing needalites good xp for a level 22 necro? like how much xp did you get in a period of time or how many levels per day? or is it better to group at ec? i'm sure i can take them on no problem seeing as how i'm tweaked as hell. i spent 200k on all my gear and i have a mount.

I recently leveled an alt in EC from 20something - 45. Since it's a "hot zone" the xp is excellent. I grouped until around lvl40 and then duoed and soloed. Can't even count how many times we killed TM.

how many levels a day (i play about 3 hours a day maybe a bit more). should i group there or solo needalites?

If you do needalites solo them. But both spots are good to go to. I think its more about preference. I personally got sick of the evil laughter in the PC bandit camps and moved to EC. The loot off bandits isn't bad, that is if you are an untwinked noob like myself. The needlite room in ec is a good spot to solo. The queen drops pretty good loot. I'm lvl 35 and they are still conning db with the occasional lb needlite. The Mutants are good to but get a group for them. Also dont walk up to them thinking they are vendors like I did. They will kill you faster then you can think about feigning death.

Make sure you have the spell Banshee Aura, and watch out for the Queen to spawn. She is just a bit harder than the regulars.

Where can I get banshee aura? Is it a research spell? And what level?

You can also purchase this spell in POK library from Reaver Nydlil (Shadow Knight Spell vendor).

Generally, anything you can buy in The Overthere you can buy in the Absymal Sea (for those of us that are KoS in The Overthere from Karnors and Howling Stones fun).

Oh, and you need one pearl to cast.. and it's not consumed, so just get one.

Unrest 2nd floor 1/2 blue per kill on DB cons more for higher cons of course. Everything undead so you can slow and work your evoc skill with your undead nukes.

Alright thanks everyone. I was level 22 at 6:45 PM Eastern and I logged off at 10:00 PM being level 25. I slacked alot too! I could of been 27 if I hadn't slacked. I got a level 40 druid guildie to cast thorn DS on my pet and a 69pally to heal him. I sent pet and sat back and med and occasionaly cast spells. I would clear the whole needlite room in a few minutes, I would go kill a few boglins near the swamp water and then go to the saphronyte spawns and kill them and some more boglins...then back to needlites...etc. I got from 24-25 in 20 minutes. It's cake.

Be like me and get to 65 with a 65 defense :) though over the many snare resists and such from 65-69 I am now the proud owner of 97 defense and rising :blink: (note now all I can take is about 4 hits (mob depending) at a time, it would be much better when you can go many rounds of melee for skill ups ;) )

Please note the sarcasm and do what Deanette says get hit some to keep getting that defense up. :)

Hey GnekroeGnomicon,

You can cap your out pretty quick im sure if you just run on over to Veksar and take on the undead there. Might actually get some good tribute from name while there.

You also want to cast more than the occasional spell. Level all you want but if you don't use your spells you will be SOL. Trust me I'm new I was doing what you are doing now two weeks ago
