Duplicate lore items not allowed.

I learned the hard way last night that Funeral Pyre of Kelador is a lore item.
I hit 200 research yesterday and ran to bank to combine my last spells(minus Demi-Lich :( ). Lots of success with only 1 failure. I had an extra Words of Torment left over and decided to make another Funeral Pyre to sell. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Lost my very expensive spell components.

I believe that this spell and Dead Men Floating are the only 2 lore spells so if you are making your own spells remember not to duplicate them.

Now to find Demi-Lich or Words of Awareness and I'll have all my spells up to level 60. Not gonna be easy I fear.

Edit - 3 spells are "lore". Gangrenous Touch of Zum`uul is the third "lore" spell.

There is a way around this and that is to put your first copy in your shared box in the bank. This allows you to have two lore items. I have a mule that I use this for all the time.

Yes Doomfir that is correct. I am just letting others know that there are "lore" tagged scrolls that are not associated with quests and what not. My main is a Grand Artisan so I am familiar with duplicate lore combines but I had no idea that a non-quested researchable spell scroll could be lore (It isn't mentioned on Allakhazams or necrotalk btw). Not even the 61-65 scrolls are lore. I kinda feel screwed by SOE's tagging it "lore" for no apparent reason.

Had you scribed the other spell or was it in your inventory? It does'nt seem right that we cannot research a spell if we already have it scribed. After all its the scroll thats "lore" right?

Otherwise why have the ability of research? I can understand if you can't research a spell if you are holding a similar one in your inventory. But not being able to research a spell if you have it scribed is ridiculous!! :o

Blacklotis, I'm sure he had the actuall scroll of FPoK on him when he tried a 2nd combine. I've made multiple copies, this month in fact of FPoK and I've had the spell for a long time. Make one, scribe or share bank it, make the next.

I screwed myself out of a huge profit with funeral pyre cuz I did not know that either until I researched my second one. I found the words really cheap in the bazaar :(

I did this on Funeral Pyre and emailed SoE GM support and had all the words returned to me by a GM in game within a couple days.
