Chilling Embrace

Does anyone have a clue as to what mob it drops off of? I have tried bazaar and my server doesn't have any for sell atm.

Allakhazam's (http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/spell.html?spell=1412) says it drops off Othimir Shaman and Warriors in Cobalt Scar, A Crystal Shard in Velketor's, and Crystalline Shardwurms in Great Divide.

I got mine off a Siren Enticer in CS, and have never used it.

Looted another for Guildie in GD....large open cave that has 4 static wurm spawns.

Yeah, mine came off a siren in CS too. Used it a few times, but it's not terribly useful for long after you get it.

Yea....the drop is semi-rare(yea flame me for it), I have had no luck in GD coming up with this spell and everytime I visit bazaar its never under 1k. Would love to have it but I'm not gonna spend 1k on a 39 spell unless I am going to use it alot.

finally found one in bazaar the other day, they wanted 5k for it. oh well, I will camp for it when I start camping for the glowing bile needed in the 4th shawl quest.

Got mine off shardwurms while farming other droped spells for guild in Gd ..was 39 at the time so woot for me, more damage. its just not spectacular so dont feel jipped if it doesnt drop right away. Better to to just level and get your next level of dots

I don't think I ever used that spell. At first I thought you meant chill bones / conglaciation of bone which has a stun component to it, and even though it is our ONLY cold nuke it has it's place (stunning caster mobs). Chilling embrace however I never use.

Chilling Embrace is a very nice spell for the level, but it isn't worth 1500pp unless you have a lot of plat laying around...

Only place I've actually seen it drop was off a Holgresh Conjurer in wakening lands. I've camped the wurms in GD, crystalline, shard; no such drop happened. Thirty hours minimum camp. went to WL for haze panther pelts got 2 copies off Holgresh within 30 minutes......

Just a quick note, that I have found a good use for this spell at lvl 63.... With a duration of 1min 30 seconds, it actually makes a pretty good timer for Embracing Darkness.

Cast ED, as soon as it sticks, cast Chilling Embrace. If it sticks first time, you have a timer with a comfortable gap before you have to recast ED. If it sticks second time, you need to start casting ED pretty soon after CE wears off.

I have found this invaluable when aggro kiting 2 mobs.

This spell is available in Abysmal Sea (G.O.D expansion - take boat to get there).

I went there hoping for Incinerate Bones after reading the shaman boards that Canni 2 is now purchaseable.
