#1 - Parity of DoT Crits (Currently being evaluated) - Most likely this will be considered as part of the class re-envisioning
With Omens of War, the DoT casters got AA to bring them in line with the “non-specialized” DD casters (Mages, Druids etc.) However, just like Wizards happen to be specialists in, and undisputed masters of Direct Damage type spells, so do Necromancers feel that they should fill the same role for Damge over Time spells. Either a clarification that SOE does not feel that Necromancers are specialists in the same way that Wizards are, or address this disparity (an innate chance to crit, and an AA tier that catches Necromancers up to Wizards in terms of % chance to crit). Also the AA Destructive Fury does not currently affect DoT crits, only DD crits. Necromancers feel that either making this AA affect both types of Damage (preferred) or another AA line for DoTs would be appropriate.

I voted a 2. I feel short duration dots in the last few expansions, especially with dodh have fixed this issue.

/agree, our dps and crits are better than ever.
but i am still pissed off that sony is still kissing wizzards ass and their rates are still better.

Are we out of line in damage? I haven't seen any numbers that say we are (*note* I would love to see some numbers, any numbers).

Otherwise I would say this is important to maintain DoT parity with DD casters but I don't feel like it should be a top 10 issue unless we have no doubts that our damage is out of line with that of th DD casters. As of yet I have seen nothing but opinions, and really nothing other than "We should get another line of AA's because the Wizards got another line of AA's". To me this is anti-productive and not really inducing to better the necromancer class.

I find it hard to argue that we should be perfectly balanced with Wizards, because Bertie knows who has the more utility/flexibility/survivability etc... even if we are slightly behind wizards in damage, that is about all they can offer.

With Dread Pyre and Corrath Venom we are doing wonderful DoT damage with the crits we have. Spells like this are more the direction to go imo.

I don't like feeling 'slighted/snubbed' by SoE in reguard that other classes get a boost to their main way of doing dmg and we don't. That said, we seem to be "in-line" with where we should be, so I don't really care..keep it or ditch it.
