Anyway, I'll be making a new necro. My Brother inlaw wants to play on my server
so I'll be making a lvl 1 necro to group with him.. Gotta love the necro. Anyway,
I was shocked at how fast we lvl and with the new bonuses for grouping..well my cleric never shut up like that! :lol: The charater skills do not seem to keep up with my lvling..but hey..my pets the one that does the work...leaving me free to reap the rewards..I mean while pet fights I can pratically spend time with my wife and build wife faction B) Anyway this post is about an enchanter I ran into. I was grouped with people in an Ldon and a chanter got full of himself and refused to mezz and cast clarity if he ( charactre was a he- don't know if player was) did not get most of the loot. He said we would get nowhere without him. I then told him I for one ddid not need him (that to me he was merely a convienience) And I then proved it to him with my mana converter spell. He left the Ldon adventure and I began using the necro screaming terror spell and kept them mezzed. They were a great party. Oh the cleric Batholemew on prexux server is awesome- my necro risingmyst will group with him anytime. He also loves my necro heals when he's being whacked. right now I'm practicing to fear kite. and also on using the feign death. Am told I can be FD and my pet can be fighting a red as my dots kill it. Any proceedure do use for this? I think that maybe way to go. If I'm not taking dmg or agro and pet and dots do work - I'm all for it

Your pet will disappear if you remain fd longer then 120 seconds(2 mins) so if your reapplying darkness(IMO you should be) you shouldn't have to worry about Jabober going bye-bye. However..if you soloing and go fd to make a sandwhich, or improve that wife faction you may loose your little friend there.

Jeb, not doubting your figures on FD length of time but I think it is 54 seconds (one tick shy of a minute). You sure of the 120 second time?

Well R.I.P venekn, he died for the good of necromancers everywhere. 2mins 20 seconds after fd'ing he returned to the grave (vanished).

Keep in mind now that sony has nerfed our FD rot abilities. Even with you pet on it. If you FD you are considered dead to that mob. Your mob even with dots and a pet on it will regen hp's. And most likely faster than you do damge since they regen 25% of thier health back a tick. Not sure of old world material. But this does happen on pop mobs. Goto PoN and try it. Snare, dot, sick pet, and fd. Watch your pet and donts dont mean squat as it regens.

I did find an "exploit" in one aa.. suspend minion. If your pet is dotd and going down fast, AND you have only Level 1 Suspend, suspend him and then call him back he will come back without his buffs... AND without any DoT's too! If you are like me and have RoD on your pants it is no big deal to rebuff pet after calling him back up.

Hey 2 min. is more than enough to make a bite to eat (sandwich) and see what is going on..lol Though with fiegn death I have yet to try the experiment. I've been getting advice. and do read your replys. I think FD may be a viable way . I learned to fear kite just so i have that option. There are zones I would not try it (hunting giants in rath would be one) yet the option is what is imortant to me- the knowing how to do it. The way I see it ( perception is key) -it's all in your viewpoint ). Anyway, Necros get an involnerablity spell like the cleric devine aura. I have used it to good effect in certain situations. Sorry I do ramble. Anyway, it seems to me that FD can be used to kill the mob with little risk to necro and maybe as a way to avoid adds. Every so often I know I'll have to get up to redot or whatever. If I can mem spells while FD I can mem the reclaim spell and just reclaim pet - make new one and sent at mob again. I just don't know. I'll have to experiment. Much of my joining this site. is to learn. I'm honsetly impressed with this character class. It has me thinking. SO I want to share my ideas with others and learn other ideas I may not have thought of. Also if the necros are a thinking class. well I'm hoping to meet and converse with others who may be like minded.
As for my statement of taking a break to make wife faction or whatever ...well, I was making a joke or trying to. My point was that FD just might free us necros up enough to do other things a kind of pause that'll alow us to do whatever and still get exp or whatnot.
