Well, my fellow Necros, I just wanted to share an experience with you. I've been hunting Kaesora a lot lately, it's fantastic around 38-45, and have been single pulling with my Rest the Dead(RtD) spell. As you probably know it's our "lull/pacify" spell that only works on undead up to level 45, mob level not caster level.

I have never gotten a resist on RtD during all this time hunting! I've done some LDoN's, 13 to be exact and all successes, and not had a resist. Well, last night I was invited to an LDoN and since I'm trying to get enough points for the regen augment and an item to put it in I went. We had a good group makeup and we completed the adventure with about 35 minutes left. I was RtD'ing and the SK was then pulling on my call. Everything went great! After finishing we decided to go after the named. I RtD'd a bloodbone and it RESISTED! 3 more came with it and we lost a druid, no real loss I guess...hehe, and the rest of us finished them off with me helping on healing, nuking, and mezzing.

So, to make a long post longer, heh, it appears the spell can be resisted. Some of you may have already known this but I sure didn't.

Good hunting.
Jos.

Yeah, it doesnt happen very often, but you will notice that once you get to your mid 50s you wont be Lulling undead anymore.

We dont get any spells past Rest the Dead that i know of for lulling undead creatures.

Yes.. there will never be another Lull Undead once you outgrow Rest the Dead.. and you will miss it. I remember recklessly pulling the Taskmaster's room in Echo.. as fast as I could.. but, never mind. At 63 you will get an Undead Mez.. until then, it's old school.. FD spliting. Or, rooting.. or.. just kite 2 =)

As far as resisting WtD, if we check Lucy ( http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=448&source=Live - Click on "Raw" to find what I am talking about ) we find that that WtD checks "Resist: Magic" with a "Resist Adjust: Zero". So. Just a base save, and things that are magic resistant have a fair chance.

That said, the creatures that *can* be Rested are not all that resistant, so.. don't worry too much *giggle*

The only thing is with Death's Silence is that is a Mez and not a pacify. Every now and again, a mob will forget about you after you have used it since it has a memblur component, but I would definitely love to have a pacify spell for undead up to 65.. FD does not make up for having to pull 4 mobs because you cant put them to sleep. Feedback often is all I can say.

I have yet encountered a spawn that I could not split/break (exceptions: dain, aten ha ra) with our current spell book.

I'm already dreading losing my ability to "Rest the Dead" because it's such a useful spell and I'm not real sure why we don't get another undead only type lull. It's not only good for soloing but also good for groups in BB LDoN dungeons.

Oh well.....

Good hunting.

Send in feedback often. I would also like to see an upgrade. It can't hurt and it is certain to help if we got one.
