it's not exactly sitting in PoK whoring yourself out like a chanter for KEI. Not a constant flow of people in dire need of necro CR's and because it costs so muc, peolple are more willing to try to get it back the long way if at all possible. Me I'm lazy, if I die I summon my corpse to zone in if I'm not headed right back to the camp to get revenge. Even in PoP I'll bind in PoTranq and summon myself to graveyard, no way i'm waiting 15 minutes for corpse to pop when i Can be back in the thck of it by that time...

I've never once asked for money for summoning a corpse, but I've also never done one without the person donating something to me... pp, items, or an offer of a group!
I've even tried to turn down the pp when somebody much lower level than me required a summon but he insisted on compensating me not only for the coffin but for the time.
So in short, it's possible to make money on summons without ever setting out to do so. I've made tons of pp on it without ever asking for or expecting a dime (or a copper :) )

Most people will send tells or OOC in popular zones that they need corpses summoned. Personally I normally turn down all money/coffins just cuz there isn't much left I can buy, and why hoard plat. Alternately though, I will accept donations/coffins etc from a guild raid, if I have to summon all of them etc. I broke pofear, and CR'd a pick-up raid last night(some people having multiple corpse) atleast half of the people there tried to give me 200-500 a piece... I guess I don't feel right making money off people who already had a bad/hard time. I guess it's all in how/why you the game, yes you can make some money off pick-up Lady Vox raids that fail, pofear is kinda popular(you may have to solo 10-12 mobs first) chardok and Old Sebilis used to be known well for this... although that's not really to common anymore.

I've done summonings for donations on several occasions, but mostly to help people, not to make money. Often it's ended up taking an hour of my time for, at most, 500pp, so it's just not worth it as a money-making venture: I could make 2-3k+ in that time farming swirling shadows.
So unless it's a raid wipe and they're willing to pay a couple of thousand plus coffins to summon everyone, it's not likely to be a money-spinner. And I'd feel kind of guilty charging that much for recovering some corpses anyway.

I just charge for a coffin if it is not conserved and then if they wish to give me more that is up to them.
