Its the last week of January. Any items you would like to see removed, or specifically, any items you would like to replace them with? This is a discussion thread to get items flowing, not necessarilly a voting thread.

I guess my concern, at the moment, is the same thing I brought up in the most recent Willful Death thread. This time, however, I'll be a little less cynical.
Prophecy of Ro is due to go live in 3 weeks now, and the developers are feverishly working long days to bring players a quality product (hold the smartass comments for now, releasing a new expansion is no small undertaking [general statement, not aimed at anyone in particular]). Given the timeline of events, I question if the developers have had adequate time to review very many major/minor/class/etc. issues on the live servers.
In light of this, do we want to perhaps delay any significant changes til the end of next month? As far as what's currently on this list, it's about as good as we could get it. There were some arguments, snide comments, etc... but I feel the end result was a more refined list than what we had initially. Most of the community has been patient thus far, regarding class issues, I don't think it would be too much of a strain for us to wait a bit longer as the developers are currently working a very busy schedule.

I don't see a response to our current top ten list. With no response yet and a new expansion due out this month, I think waiting would be prudent. We'll see if anything gets addressed in the new expansion and give them another month to actually respond to the current one.... although for god's sake, it's our first change to the list in like 6 months.

Was just trying to find the words to articulate my thoughts, but Xelgadis said it very well.

i agree with xelg too... not sure how much "push" they've given you, but a direct yes or no, or even a compromise response to some of the simpler requests like willful death in the next month would be cool (i.e. if they are just not budging on it, let us know)

Correct. I wanted to check with you guys first though, and see how the community feels etc.
Also, I asked Kyth again last week for an update on the status of each item on the list. Nada still. Devs are spending 14hr days working on beta stuff, and aside from that not much time is left. If your in beta, get to the forums. Nothing more I can legally say then that.
With the problems with resist checks on our nukes we should be asking for a chromatic nuke line with a decent negative resist check. Perhaps make our new lifetaps and our new lifetap over time spell could be chromatic with the same -200 check.
Far as pets being tougher on raids. Dont ask for new AA's to make them tougher. Tie that into the focus effects. Anguish focused pet should be alot tougher than a LDON focused pet.
Lich illusions - keep us looking the same but make it permanent. Bards rogues and enchanters can all do this but their illusion abilities are mainly toys or minor benifits. We on the other hand have lich casted on every fight with a few minor exceptions. I dont want a model showing what Race I am. I consider my Race to be skeleton. If we are going to get a different model make it one skeleton for the class and have it show the normal visible armor that every other class in the game gets to show off.
Since we on what looks good get us a new pet model or at least back to the old pet model that does not have that constant death wind. Make the devs log on a necro and summon a high level pet and stand at the pet with the speakers turned on. Make them have that sound playing at their workstation or in headphones for a month and see if it drives them nuts like it does to me.

There's been NO response. Why change it for the sake of changing it?

Its beta time still, so I'd give them another month. Once beta goes live... our priorities will be different I assure you.
If you know what I'm talking about get to the forums and help. If you don't... NDA will be lifted soon so don't worry too much.

Sauruman, any new info yet? Any priority shift from the devs whatsoever?
On EQPlayers, no new info seems to emerge. Kythera isn't updating the class issue list anymore, it seems, at least not ours.
Sure, I bet the devs have been busy (trying to anaylyse their write-only, undocumented Perl scripts and trying to figure out how indexes work in SQL), but the information seems to have dried out.
Would it be possible to remind the people at SOE about their promises about communicating?
Thanks!

Ya its true the class issues lists aren't getting the simple copy/paste by Kytherea until large amounts of time have elapsed, and updates are inconsistant in measure. She does a lot of stuff and is kept busy communicating all sorts of things with the devs and players, especially around FF/summit and expansion release dates. I usually keep asking things till I get a solid responce. But often these responces will change, or an issue will resurface in another form.
We all know its hard to "hold" devs to the lists each class comes up with, let alone come up with considerable consensus within the classes that create the lists through their correspondents. For my part, through corr forum on eqlive I keep them appraised of all issues that come up here, occasionally politely bumping them. Like the MW "fix" in the last patch didn't "fix" that issue and I provided them follow-up feedback through all our comments.
Short answer is the devs are busy as hell. Prathun is now doing spells (announced this weekend), so we have a vehicle to fix those. They are still looking for a rep item dev and likely one more as well. There are a slue of the typical post-expansion bugs that receive high priority such as pathing, MW, zone stability and fixing raid content and the itemization. I'll continue to make sure our list receives the attention it deserves, such as adjusting Willful Death.
That said, I'm always open to suggestions and I suspect the time is quite near for some tinkering with the class list.
