Augmentation of Death

I'm Level 55 on Stromm and can't find this spell or the Words of Expedition to research it myself. The bazaar never has them (when I look anyway) and the mobs that drop them are not east to kill or get them to drop.

I guess I'm screwed...unless someone has any advice.

Okay according to the information I have, the words drop in Western Wastes, its the only zone I have confirmed they drop in.

Now the spell drops in several different zones: Velks, CS and ToV. In my document I don't have details of the names who drop these.

I know this is one of those spells which is very rare and difficult. I too have never seen it in the bazaar. I do know should they show up in a bazaar more often than not these words will be way over priced.

I found a copy in the bazaar about a month ago.. I think I paid 1500 for it. guess I'm glad I snagged it when I did.. didn't realize just how rare it was.

Surprisingly, I found it in the bazaar the same night I posted this. I didnt buy it however becasue it was 10Kpp.
Demi Lich was 20Kpp, Levant was 5kpp, abnd Servant of Bones was 500pp
(I bought the Servant of Bones).

Is this how much I should expect to pay for these spells?

I have 200 research, but the words are even more expensive than the spells.

On Quellious, at least, the single time I've seen Demi Lich it was 12K. I took a pass on it because I got a copy of Arch Lich for 40pp and decided just to bite the bullet & push to 60 & save the money.

Levant runs in the 250-500ish range and I think I picked up Servent of Bones for under 100pp.

But every server has a vastly different economy.

Glad I'm not on Stromm :). On Bristlebane I paid 10k for Demi Lich, 1k for Augmentation of Death and 100pp or so for Levant... thinkI bought Servant of Bones off an NPC vendor for a few pp.

OTOH a Circlet of Shadow has gone up from 10-25k to 50k+ in the last few months... don't think I'll be buying one.

Paid 8k for demi lich, levant, chilling bones, conglation of bone and augmentation of death...all in one bundle from a guy.

8k isn't that bad for that package. Demi Lich and Aug of Death I've seen for 5k each

Paid 3.9k for Augmentation of death.
Researched Levant at a cost of about 20pp for the words.

Well, if anyone here is from Stromm you know the prices are WAY high for everything - so its's hard to get an idea of how much anything is really worth.

This weekend I bought Augmentation of Bone for 10k and Demi-Lich for 13k. That was the cheapest I could find either of them. Levant I researched myself so it was cheap. If I could just find words of awareness I could make a copy of Demi-Lich myself and get my plat back :rolleyes:

I am on Stromm as well, I lucked out and one time found someone selling 2 words of expidiation for 100pp each. When I dinged 55 I trained up to 200 research and had the +5% Quill. I failed the first combine and made the second.

Now im hunting words of awarness down

All the words needed for researching spells level 50 - 60 can be dropped from mobs in LDON when groups avg level roughly = the level of non-ldon mobs that drop same words. I would never pay 10k for a spell when it can be researched. Just takes time and patience.

I've searched the bazaar and ldon camps for weeks and couldn't find the Awareness or Expedition.

I'll pay the platinum before I go without a spell that is going to vastly improve my mana regen and pet augment.

Augmentation of Death is only 10% more haste over the previous buff, isn't it? I mean, that's nice, but given a choice between paying 10k and waiting to 62 to get Rune of Death for a few hundred plat I'd seriously consider living without it.

I watch for words of expedition in the bazaar everytime Im there, and if reasonable, 1.5k or less, buy and convert to augmentation and sell for 3k on The Rathe. Seems like I'm usually the only one with it when I check. Prior posts were correct, if I had to pay 10k for this one, I'd do without and wait for Rune. No point in paying big plat for a spell that's going to be obsolete in your not to distant future.

I have a question, I have gotten in the habit of getting a mage to summon up a pet mask, belt, and swords for me before heading out for the evening.....how does the haste of the summoned mask and Rune stack in anyway. Am I wasting my time casting Rune once I give my pet these items ?

As I understood it (I could be wrong) Demi-Lich can be used while medding on a horse/drogma and Arch-Lich can not because the spectre can't use a horse/drogma. I was told to use Arch when you weren't/couldn't use your mount and use Demi in all other instances. That's why I got Demi...

As far as I'm aware, the summoned mask is an additional 10% haste on top of other buffs.

Same here, though it's also been very useful for levelling from 56 to 59.

If I could find where words drop, I published it in my document. If you find the words in a zone let me know, I'll add it. I only have one known place of words of expedition and thats WW (Western Wastes), and for words of Awareness they are in "the hole"

Ok, I've been trying to keep my eyes open at all times when I'm in the bazaar. Is there a group of spells that are a must to get if the time comes? So far reading this post I've gotten the following:

Augmentation of Death
Demi-Lich
Arch-Lich
Levant
Conglation of Bone

From other posts I do also know to keep my eyes open for:
Child of Bertox
Saryn's Companion
Blood of Thule


What others should I keep looking for?

I've had Words of Expedition drop for my group a couple times now in Acrylia Caverns. We were wandering through the place and I don't recall a specific mob or mob type that dropped them, though.

Why is Demi-Lich so much more in price than Arch Lich? Where do they both drop?
