Was trioing a Creator mission yesterday, and got a 2 pull, so I rooted one of them off. While I kited the live one, I lit up the rooted one with DoT's. After the one I was kiting died, I FD to lose the DoT agro.

No failure message, nothing, worked like it always has. Rooted the add again and reapplied DoT's since it was almost dead anyways. FD again, no message.

Root broke and the thing came right at me, popped up, FD again, no message. Kept coming, chewed on me a min before it died finally.

Seems that it basically ignored FD both times, since I got no failure messages. Considering first one it was still parked, I couldn't figure out why it still came.

Anyone else running into FD issues? Again?

I've been running into mobs ignoring my FD in PoR specifically - both on beta and since it has gone live.

Again, I FD. I do get a cast message and my hotkey is used (it has that few seconds refresh time). I get no interrupt message, I get no fallen to the ground message, and I get no FD broken message, yet a mob decides he's going to come over and chew on me anyway. Both caster and melee type mobs have decided to continue attacking me during my successful FD so its not spells hitting me (and I would be getting messages there anyway).

Also, this happens on mobs that I have not even cast on, so its not like I'm getting a DoT stuck on or anything like that. Mobs that I only have proximity agro with are chewing right through my FD.

I've pulled about 10 or so missions in PoR since released (hundreds of chances for weird FD breaks). I've lived through some impossible wipes on Vishi, Vule and what-not. Haven't experienced this bug yet, and I've watched closely.

Can you get me more information?
-Exactly what zones this occured in
-Did the creature have an AE?
-Was the creature damaged?
-Do you have Willful Death?

I've noticed with Willful Death that is works if nothing happens. If I get the red text or whatever saying FD is broke, then the mob comes at me. Does it look different when this bug occurs?

I've not seen this happen and I've been pulling in the devistation for a few days. If I want to lose agro I'll stay down and watch a clock for the 2 minute mark. If no all clear fd mesage then after 2min I'll get up.

Mobs in DoD instances and in PoR tend to have crazy large agro radii though.

I was solo'ing in devastation and arcstone last night and didn't notice anything. I pulled some in eldarr a few days ago..and nothing. Takish-hiz..was fine(although I can't see a reason to really fd anything there..it's gimp.

Erm..the instance off of takish-hiz for death rune...no problems(except there's way to many casters..)

Tainted blood can lickmyballsack...that is all.

I've also been doing alot of PoR pulling in Devastation, Rage and the tower in Rage; my FD seems to be working fine in those zones.

The only time I think it's ever happened to me was in Longshadow 5.

I'm fairly positive I was FD and the named decided to summon me anyways.

This was a DoN Creator mission when it happened to me. Haven't had too much time to play lately, so haven't tested it again.

No willfull death, but was a straight melee mob... one of the cats. Had it perfectly locked down, FD, no failure messages, no other mobs around to cast anything. I would have definitely noticed a drake firing off a group tash, it was only my toons.

Definitely was FD, root broke, came right for me. Stood up, FD again, no interrupt, no failure message.. kept on coming. Swatted me, so I just finished it off kiting. I don't use Death Peace in those scenarios, just good ol' FD.

Not sure if that helps any.. but I've never seen it happen before, so was just throwing it out there. I've done this many times before, and never seen that happen without the standard FD breaking rules come into play.

What's even more odd, is later I had a mob warp on top of my cleric and kill her. Had 1 casting drake already and the one that killed her was a caster also. I FD'd right by the 2 drakes, worked as intended. The first one was tashing and casting on me like mad the whole time.

/shrug, got me. I don't have the strongest gear, so if there's one thing I use a LOT, it's FD. ;) esp. in those inopportune moments where the other toons get slaughtered.

I just remember there were previous issues with FD being broken, and had a horrible flashback.

Oh, one thing I thought of that might be doing this.

I recently had to reinstall EQ, so I had to redo setting etc. And when I hit /assist it would attack cause I hadn't toggled it yet. Well, I hit /assist blabla and it broke my FD. Bam death. No other ways other then standing that I know of that breaks FD. Though, a while back, you could walk forward after FD'ing and it would break it. That took a while to adjust, and then they fixed it right after lol.

This is certainly not something that happens often or anything. Since PoR went live, there are exactly two times it happened to me where I am 100% certain that it happened. Both were instances - The Library instance from Ao, and an instance from Elddar (can't remember the name of it, but its the first one in the series that you eventually have to kill the trees in Elddar and get a key). I have Willful Death 2/5. This is not an assist key issue, I didn't stand, and FD definately did not break - I received no message for an interrupt, an FD break, or a fallen to the ground. I had a succesful cast and my hotkey had a refresh.

Either FD broke with no message given whatsoever, or mobs are rarely ignoring it. I don't blame people who don't believe it, I didn't when I first heard people talk about it until I experienced it myself. I don't count times that I suspect it might have happened, only the times when I am 100% certain and can verify in my logs that I received no type of broken or unsuccesful FD message.

It's not the UI in my case for certain. I use Aya, and trioing 2 casters and a melee, it's kinda hard to miss the rolling of red spam of not being close enough to attack. First thing I do when I make any toon, is turn that annoying auto assist feature off.

I personally blame Gremlins and call shenanigans.
