Lake if Ill Omen... Blood Gill goblins... Underwater.... hardly camped and have very low HP's for thier level. Most are two spawns but you can quickly learn to over come those. I died a few times getting a rythem down but after I broke all the double spawns it was non-stop xp action as your pet can pretty much solo these weak mobs. because it is underwater.... I have never seen another soul down there. The drops are alright.... 1-6pp per kill and drop misc words. the most interesting part is.... you get positive faction to the pirates in Dulak harbor :) nice. All the gobbies are warrior type mobs.
I went from 46 - 51 in three days with casual playing.
Enjoy!

I think I may have to jump on this myself then especially since the zone also has a 12% IIRC ZEM

How did you manage the breathing issue? DMF?

AYE... DMF lasts for over an hour... just have to remember to cast it every once in a while so you don't drown... hehe
not that big of a deal. You will gain some great XP... max your swimming.... and gain some hard to raise faction with the LOY expansion zones.
Enjoy

Sunken under the waters of the Lake of Ill Omen (http://www.eqatlas.com/kunark/lakeofillomenmap.html) is the lost city of Veksar. Guarding the city entrance are a couple goblins. You can find others along the walls and by the columns, I believe.

A little more on my experience here...
1. bind yourself on shore close to the water.
2. Keep an eye out for blood gill mauraders. They are about the same level as the normal blood gills but much much tougher. I reccomend only taking them on one at a time... I had three encounters with them and they were all adds... there agro radius seems to be signigicantly higher than normal and they are not as easy to kill. Died a couple of times to them. Just keep an eye out and if your not ready for a tough fight just fear them... run away to a safe spot and FD [ feign death ] then /q to clear agro.
3. If you got the dirty hairy complex like I do go back and single pull that maurader and take his arse out!
Here is the way I broke the double spawns.... The most efficient way to take them is to position yourself so you can see both mobs..
1. pull with a darkness line spell to snare... sick pet on mob. The combination of your hasted pet and the darness snare/DOT will make short work of these week MOBS.
2. target other mob that is an add and mez him with our mez spell. then I root as root does not break mez. If your pet is within attack range of the mezzed MOB I back the pet off untill out of attack range. Your pet should be able to solo one but two will make short work of your skinny companion.
3. finish off mob in step 1.
4. this is preference but in order to get the nice broken spawn times down you keep the mob rooted for 30 secs or so without attacking then killem.
Hope this helps.
This will give you the nice effect of having a steady supply of single pulls with ZERO downtime.

Bloodgill Marauders are a mob that drops a piece for the VP key quest. If you really need a hand taking one down you could always ooc that the Marauder is up if anyone needs the piece and see if you get any help.

Great post. Can't wait to try it out.
03 feb: Tried this out and it rocked. I was able to clear the whole platform and by the time i was at the first spawn point the BG's popped again. It was almost non-stop pulling and the exp / loot was great. BTW, Harpoon of the Deep sells for 45pp to vendors. Probably could get more in the bazarr but I was too lazy to find out :P

Just a quick question I know in Oasis or S.Ro there is the spectre temple and in the lake there are goblins are these about the same level too? If these mobs in LoIo are as easy as they say then the gobbies down in S.Ro may be the same and offer other LoY factions. Just a thought

These goblins are good until 49, after that they become white/light blue and their respawn rate is rather slow.

They are good until 49 when they are mostly light blue. It has 12 bloodgill goblins in all. Four to the entrance to Veksar two to each pillar above the dome. Just swim up till u get to the top lip of dome. At the midway point to each pillar there is usually a deepwater barracuda that also gives exp & if I am not mistaken it's to help spawn a corrupted Barracuda for the druid epic.
It's really nice exp despite what people may say. They drop plat, words, runes and I have had 1 Harpoon of the Depths fall for me. The nice part about this is that the goblins do not have alot of hps so it makes some light work of them and you don't burn up your mana bar either.
