Ok, when you agree to fight with selfbuffs only and you have the group AA where you can check each others buffs, and you check the person your dueling and they dont have infusion on. Then, soon as you ungroup to duel, they cast it. (I didnt know because i have all my spell effects turn off because of those gay Auras) So im hitting hit blasts for 300 with level 67 lifetap or whatever. Do you think this is really fair? I told him he needs to use vet AAs to beat me, which is true. Yet, the person i was dueling who used infusion so deviously, claims its just like a necros WTD AA. NO, thats completely different. WTD is a class based AA, ever necro can get it, Veteran AA are mostly AAs better than class that you get for owning an account for a long period of time. I have infusion, but choose never to use it in duels because i think its cheap. Thoughts on this homo?

Im on a pvp server so we never go thru these battles. But im going to have to side with the Homo. You play to win. Self buffs means no Virtue/viction brells etc. Veteran alts, potions, clickie buffs are all good. Some people have epics others don't etc. There is no such thing as fair fights people always have strengths and weakness against another competitor.

Bring Pumice next time and debuff him. Pop your Infusion. Kite him around until it wears off. Hide if need be. No one said you had to stand toe-to-toe exchanging taps to see who had the best equipment or AA to decide a winner. Think about ways to overcome the disadvantage. Put your engery into figuring a way to beat him, not hate him. Victory will be much sweeter when you win by being smart them him, then trying to make a set of rules up.

Look for Golem metal wands on your server. Strips 4 buffs a click. Strip all his buffs and see how he reacts.

Infusion is not completly fair. For example A berzerker decided to deviously use it on me the same way. I was very pissed. He was able to resist every spell I cast. On the other hand, Infusion doesn't protect me from melee attacks the same way. So basically He could hit me,and I couldnt hit him. When fighting in the arena there is no place to hide or no place to sit and mem a spell. Its BS. if you want to win a fight do it on your own merit. Unless you want to make and AA that allows casters to become invulnerable to melee for the same amount of time.

I haven't tested if Infusion can get dispelled. I would assume it can. But like I said on a PvP server conditions are much different and your forced to adapt and overcome. Some time just surviving is a victory. Its that, or eat dirt.

I believe there was a patch message stating the Vetern Benefits could no longer be dispelled.

Once killed a rogue using vet aa, he only told me afterwards. I see no problem melee class using vet aa.. Just kite him with shadow step for 15 mins. After that, you start from square 1 without any vet aas.

Not necessarily the same amount of time, but I always have harmshield up when dueling. When I started my first necro, I played on a PvP server, that spell was always in my lineup. Saved my arse many times actually.

If you are on a blubie server and want to duel someone and avoid this kind of thing just make sure it is all clear beforehand with whomever you are duelling. Whenever guildies are wanting a round with Dae I just tell them up front: self buffs, no vet AAs etc. I usually talk a bunch of shit too that way they get mad enough to let me pick the zone as long as I will consent to duelling them (Twighlight Sea ftw they'll never even see you and you can create corpses quickly /snicker).

It is a self buff only. Would you say also that the healing potions and the mana click potions are not allowed? They can be obtained by anyone but they do give an unfair advantage if you didn't have. You do what needs to be done to win. That is why its PvP arena instead of PvE where everything can only do one thing to beat you.

If you think Infusion is the only reason you lost, you should have waited 15 minutes and challenged him again.

Infusion ISNT the same as a healing potion, mana click potion because those are not veteran AAs. It was a friendly duel and i was talking shit, just fooling around. Then to win, he used infusion. I didnt stick around, after 5 min or so and he resisted every spell AND lifetap. I knew he used infusion. Infusion is something like an Invulnerable AA for melee. How would that be far if he is beating on you yet, he is dodging nearly everything?
