Hey death dabblers!

I have been thinking of a surname for my necro for a long time now. I had BoneCollector but i kinda got bored with it and /petition for it to get erased.

Every now and then i get people asking me for ideas, so i just decided to create a topic so we can all share ideas of cool necro surnames.

A few i have thought about myself:

you can go with latin stuff also

Death = mortis (or prefixes: nex, mors)
life or soul = Vita, spiritus, animus, anima
plague = Vomica
bearer = Gero
sick = infirmus, gravatus, aegrotus
harvestor = messor

just take a combination and put them together.

deathharvester could be (Mortismessor, Nexmessor, Morsmessor)
plaguebearer = Vomicagero (for a different version of Salizarr idea)

Aye, go with something unique but don't make it too simple....Latin is good and was my choice with most of my toons and I get quite a few non-English speaking players who comment on my choices.

Cleric: Adiuvo
Rogue: Corripio

Doesn't matter if no one else can recognize what your name means but it can be a topic of conversation while grouping.

yes there are some elven translators out there too, I had forgot about those. I use the latin stuff, but my necro name and how I did it has been my favorite and a great topic of conversation in groups. I've been asked if it was an Indian name hehehhehe, then when the get the strange realization that its not, and how I did it become alot of fun :P

That's a good one.

I, of course, kept my family name: Burbleplop. There's a lot of history to the Burbleplops. Why, there's been a Burbleplop in the thick of things since Greyhawk was a wee village.

But that's another time, and another world.

yeah I like the death demon one :), I do have lots of fun with my last names, and won't give my character a last name til I find one I like. I have a ranger name Sakebu on Quel, that means scream in Japanenese, and was going to make his name "run away" for a last name so I had a ranger named Scream and run away for a name but the last name in japanese looks like a racial slur, so he never got a last name. my cleric's last name is latin in Itaian for take a bit out of death. and my druid has hunting wolves as a last name. and I'm a terriable speller so a translator is a great place to go for a name. The guild I belong to, Tel'Faenor means Spirit of Fire in Elven. So yes have fun with the last name and translators.

Heh.My surname is Dhughoo.Yupik for dead.I have a RL friend that's half Eskimo,his mom speaks Yupik...I thought it was kinda cool...unique if nothing else..
