I have not knowm a single woman in my life who can make it somewhere on time.

It's genetic.
Really.
No use trying to explain it further.
Try being in the Marines (if you are on time, you are 15 minutes late is our motto!) and having a wife that REFUSES to be anything other than "fashionably late"...

Also, if you're put on hold, it's probably because she knows you'll still be there when she clicks back over!
Me, I have a 30 second rule. I hang up :)

OMG, I hate that, the ex used to do that to me all the time. If the other call is more urgent, just click over and tell me you'll call me back, no problem, don't waste my cell phone minutes and then get upset that I hung up to save my minutes so I can spend them actually talking to you instead of being on hold!!!

Eh, sometimes. When you're 2 hours late to something that's only 4 hours long, and you haven't even left yet, then it's almost not worth going at all.

It's just another system of control. Train them to know better by consistently hanging up, and then they won't put you on hold or answer call waiting etc without expecting it.

If she understands your reasoning, you may then propose. If she gives you any lip, hang up again, unless the "lip" is a byproduct of her DSL services (not digital subscriber line). You dirty dirty man :P

I am typically a few minutes late for anything except work (that I arrive early for always). If I am ready to go on time, I putter for 5 minutes - I'm just not comfortable walking out the door on time, makes me feel like I am forgetting something :D
When it comes to being on hold though, I *hate* being put on hold, and I equally *hate* call waiting... 30 seconds... man, that is tolerant. I am usually gone by the time someone clicks over to the other call  . And I don't take calls while I am on the phone unless it has been pre-arranged, pre-agreed on to be necessary.

women are not late.
men are just not patient.
such simple.
i like it, honestly, e.g. on vacation last time in spain.
late afternoon, after beach, i went first to the bathroom and after 20 min i was ready to go for dinner, as usual.
so i went to this hotel bar downstairs waiting for her for the next 2 hours.
when she arrived finally i was pretty much warmed up.
well, she says i was drunken :(

Hmm, I think that's a great plan. For every 5 inutes you make me late, I have another drink ;) Threaten with alcohol, I can definitely do that!

I think that's a ruse. Devilishly played by our elder dark elf.
If a woman thinks she's "trained" you, she's more apt to leave you alone, or not argue about stuff. It's a smart ploy amd 100% better then arguing about why she's always making you late.

You're one in a million
Yeah, that's what you are
You're one in a million, babe
You're a shooting star
Maybe someday we'll see you
Before you make us cry
You know we tried to reach you
But you were much too high
Much too high, much too high,
Much too high, yes, ow!
