Where to Hunt with a lvl 33 GNM Nec(234 int)

Anyone know where a good place to Aggro kite for a lvl 33 Gnome Necro with 234 Intelligence? I've tried Gunthak, but it gets rough when you dont have a healer and you are using CoB. Plus, it gets hard to kite when you get atleast 2 or 3 adds. So, Please, Post any information on where a good place for me to solo or duo is. <_< :blink: :ph34r:

33 is a tricky level. Back in the day ( ;) ) I camped the spectre in Feerott. But, it was a little slow and I'd occasionally be stuck by a red con one spawning I couldn't handle. I'm sure there are much better places to go now.

If you want to kite multiples, though I don't really suggest it at that level, just tab to alternate targets. Snare mob 1, tab, snare mob 2, tab, dot mob 1, tab, dot, mob 2, tab. But it's not any faster over the long run, just good if you get yourself in trouble.

I'd suggest the shrooms in DSP. If you don't kill any of the other mobs around there, nothing will aggro you. And do it by the side opposite of where you zone in from Nexus.

I also did OT by FM zone at that level, and the Dreadlands later in the 30s.

Well i found a great group in GoG today and dinged 34 and only 2 yellows from 35 :) and does anyone think i could kite Hill Giants in Rathe Mts.? because they are around my lvl range and i would like to make enough cash to Get me a baby droggy(im a gnome :P ) and i tried DSP earlier, but way too slow on the xp :angry:

Iceclad kiting snow cougars is great exp at this level. I think I did it to 38 or so?

Plus its a hotspot atm.

Ty, i will check it out, i found another great group in Gulf of gunthak with me(i dinged 35 today) a lvl 38 SK and a lvl 40 cleric,also picked up a beasty for about 20 mins and he pulled a train of 8 mobs, but we wiped'em out in about 3 mins :)
I will look into Iceclad as well, just one question....How do i get there?

If you are ok doing Gunthak right now just stay there. Its the best exp you will find till level 51 when it gets slow.

Once beach gets too low head to the temple area.

Iceclad is reached by port in guild hall, port by a wiz or druid, or running from the Great Divide to Eastern Wastes then over the big bridge to Iceclad. I think there is also a way in from Timorous Deep though I have never gone that way.

I soloed by a spot on the back wall of the beach. Head straight south of the lighthouse toward the beach and run to the back wall. I agro kited along that back wall. You should have no problem getting singles.

Most groups camp the tunnel entrance or a spot on the beach. Most of the time I had more than enough mobs all to myself.

The temple area is the all the way through the tunnels and leads to the 2nd entrance of crypt of nadox. Shrooms and drogs first. Then move to the elfs,erudite and ogre mobs.

I had fun in Echo Caverns around this level. You can tap tank the needlites with your damage shield on and get your defense up before mobs start hitting too hard for you to want to try that anymore.

You can also try ToFS, a dungeon in iceclad for some undead fun at this level. I had alot of fun with charmed pets in this zone.

These are the levels were you can really explore killing options before it becomes "kite kite kite".

As above poster suggested, cougars in Iceclad are great xp at these levels. I believe Iceclad is a hotspot now too.

Go to the transporter in the guild hall. Teleport to North Ro and then run to the south eastern border where there is a dock. There is another teleport at the dock that will take you to Iceclad.

Plant yourself just outside the village and pull cougars till you ding 36-37ish. Went by fairly quickly for me, especially after you get the new mana regen spell...the one that turns you into a skeleton and the new Poison DoT spell (very nice).

I myself am looking for a new spot. Was going to try Gunthak as suggested but from the sound of it, it seems difficult.

Another place you may try is the Basilisks in Jagged Pine Forest. Leveled my druid there from 35ish to about 41 when the xp just got way too slow. Although i would imagine that a Necro's mana regen would help this go by faster; they were still blue to my Druid at 41. Also the eggs sell for a decent amount in the bazaar so save those.

Your title of Gifted Peasant will change as you post more (posts in the Inferno do not count towards your total however). You can also get a custom title by participating in contests or a history of contributions to the site - although it is fairly random.

I found that kiting the Aviak Harriers, Avocets, and Splitpaw Gnolls in South Karana were really good exp to me when I was 33....then again that was in 2000.

It was OT for me. Right out the back door lol. I would kite 2 or 3 at a time as they would come up the path to that area. When OOM I would med up right under the golem lol. And wow kiting reds and yellows. It was ding 34 then ding 35 then ding 36. Too ez.

SK did not work, too many greens, so i went back to Splitpaw, they are all DB and LB to me + i made about 100pp(in cash, not including items) in about 15 mins. This could be a future Farm place when i hit the 40's.

Found another group in GoG but they all got wiped out except for me,Frozane(necro friend) and Ghondanz(SK), Only becasue we FD'ed lol. So i summoned their corpses and rezzed on my cleric for 96% :)
Anyways, I did not ding in the 2hrs that i was over there(actually, now that i remember, i only got 1 1/2 yellows!) So i just went ahead and started my Epic 1.0:) Had to kill a lvl 33 dwarf :) B)

Any other ideas? I have recently dinged 38 :) (Yay me!) Also got Titanium edition about a week or two ago (roboboar saves me 31k :) ) I check out EJ because it is the hotspot for this level and DL is too hard for me to kite since they resist half of my dots :(

EJ is a horrible horrible zone to kite/solo in. Too much lag, too many adds, no line of sight and it takes forever to zone in.

Might want to give the undead in DL a try, at 38 you get the undead slow, you can probably pet tank them, same thing in Gunthak.

Beach.. Gunthak. Slow undead and pet tank them. Is good for a few levels and some cash. Various topics with spots and maps around the site.

Could my lvl 41 necro solo some junky mobs in Veksar?

I researched it a little and hunted there with my cleric...dropped some pretty good Items sellable in the bazaar for atleast 500pp +

Also thought about farming here at 65 :)

41 might be a tad bit too young, I went at 53 and could pretty much only handle the mobs at the first undead camp, but that was a long time ago and gear is much better now. You may be able to kite the gobbies at the entrance thought, worth a shot if your feeling adventurous, making no guarantees of survivability though.

Im major twinked now with 255 INT and 4.6k mana and 3k hp so might be doable now but im not sure....

I was tanking with my cleric lol was fighting all undead junk and summoned hammer of Divinity with bane dmg on Undead for 3 and had a proc for 127 dmg on it and they dont hit that hard.,...they hit for less than the gunthak mobs lol

For my 2 coppers. 255 int will not keep you alive, your mana and hp will. If you have that much mana I suspect your over 255 int. Your pet on other hand, will also keep a person alive.

Rather than ask on the boards; Will i stay alive? It's probably much better to report back your findings. Experiment. Tell us about it....

Sometimes I do stupid thngs and get my ass handed to me, I don't know if you're same way. Zones out of your LvL, but if you can handle it, Great. My ranger killed her first hill giant at 14. I wouldn't reccomend that to everyone, it was a moment never to be repeated.

If you stay alive? Up to you, and no one here can possibly answer a question like that....

Do up a magelo. Interested in that gear. Maybe you can help someone else with gear ideas.....

Well i have found a great way to make fast easy cash and get half a blue xp at 41 :)

Hill giants in Rathe mts.

Easily kite-able...didnt even need pet toys just snaredotted,dotted with all my dots except for venom of the snake, and had sow potions.

Let pet beat on it while the giant chased me and it easily dropped a good 20% per tick and i was only using about 6% mana per fight and while using necro mana regen i was able to stay right up in the 90%'ish

So this was a fast way to make cash and lvl although i have not recently leveled to 42 - but i am working on it.....posting this is the - Life on the Farm - Section

GL to all those necros out there heading for their epic 2.0!

I think you may be able to kill some of the gobbies in the beginning of Veksar. Some of the static groups of mobs can aggro (unlike the rest of the zone), so take care of the roamer(s) so you have room to split if necessary. At least, this is what I remember of my limited time there pre-50.

I don't know how far this has been posted but, I went to Overthere at 33 or so and solo'd what coned yellow or so to me, and grabbed any groups that looked my way =) seeing the awsome power of the Necro *flex*. then at 36-38 i solo'd a ton now exp is better solo for me imo, At 38 I could quad aggo kite and would get around maybe~ 10% or so, it was a longwhile back. But I stay'd there killing anything that crossed me or my pets eyesight, Stayed there until 42 or 43, Went and played in Cobalt scar a bit and got to 44, Alot of people called me crazy even Necro's. Expecially for leveling there at such a low level. But I had good gear and was really experianced. Once, 44 went to DL, Solo'd there and found groups when I could. Then at 46 I solo'd alot til 48-49 *got to go will update soon*

at 49 i was still soloing cs but you may try the flies in pod or natimbi both are really good xp until 54 or so after that i went to gargs in pon till about 58 then on to oc in pov for my hell lvls. with decent gear you could do murks in nc by the ds zone if theyre not camped as early as 57 also.

I know this isn't agro kiting but I'm lvl 35 atm with mah lil gnome and i'm having a great and easy time tap tanking in CC and will prolly stay here using that method till 40'ish.. Just get a temp and live in CC tap tanking using our mezz to pull singles is what i'm finding easiest to do and have been in CC since lvl 26 doing this..
