Total newb question

I see you guys are giving you pets pretty nice weapons, is there any way to retrieve them from your pet? As I recall from the olden days, you couldn't get a weapon back once you gave it to a pet.

No. They're very selfish and won't give back anything you give to them.

Well, charmed pets will if you kill them, but summoned pets won't.

With suspend Minion 3 you can keep your pet when you log and therefore still have the weapons on him until he dies, but that doesn't help you at lower levels.

There's also a way to keep your pet when you log off at low levels... you just need to talk to the right NPC in PoK :).

Hint: there's one NPC in PoK who can make your pet go away and come back again when you talk to him :).

It's such a useful bug for those who haven't ground out all the Suspend Minion AAs that I'm not sure it should be advertised openly if SoE haven't noticed it themselves... though if you're a low level you'll be upgrading your pet spells every couple of days in any case.

Of course I'm assuming that it's not 'working as desired'.

aye, there is a way to keep ur pet if he does not get killed during ur time on eq..npc's are in pok :) just take a look around :) I'm sure someoen will just tell how to save ur pet :(

I was playing extremely drunk one night in sebilis and won a roll on a lammy. They sold for around 12k then(that was a lot of money 4 years ago) and I gave 2 of them in a 19 hour grind session to my level 53 pet. Well, I dueled a warrior who disarmed my pet and got my weapons back. Not sure if that still works, the summoned stuff is so nice now, there's really no reason to give pets anything else after around level 45(whenever the nice procs start working).
