I dont have a horse, or one of those lizards....I do have demi-lich, but after obtaining arch lich, never use it. Is there any advantage, quicker mana regen, sitting on a mount with Demi lich instead of using arch lich ? TIA

On a mount or not archlich is going to be better mana regen period. The only bonus is when you are casting you will recieve the sitting/meditation mana regen. If you aggro kite alot i could see the benefit in being able to med while running around. However, I have heard that you do not get the sitting hp regen while mounted. I have no mount so cant confirm personally. But this rumour has made me change my mind about buying a mount. Not sure but isnt SoS a skelly illusion again? if it is then you would be able to once again ride your mount and be recieving the best mana regen.

I bought a bloody drogmar... drogmor.. thingie... the bar steward was bouncing so much I was feeling ill all the time ...

Haven't really looked carefully at the with / without mount mana regen's rate. But, I am so used to FD to lose agro that the perma sitting stuff and no agro that the mount provides wasn't a strong enough excuse to keep it. Plus you can't really solo with that thing, don't even think about agro kiting (slow to stop and start running) I really do see it more like a toy (for us necros) or a way to increase your taming skill (wut? no taming skill in EQ??) rather than a real improvement / help ... I did get ride of the lizard and am damn happier since.

I had a horse but sold it due to the fact that movement is so slow while on a mount. If I am soloing in the planes i may need to get up and move quickly and that is not possible to move fast enough with any mount that i have had.

As far as i have been told, but cant verify at this time as i have no inclination to ever buy a mount. Is this. This is reliable source ( a cleric with mount ) ; though a parce may show differently, but seems to fit into themes SOE is commonly doing.

You gain regen as if sitting while mounted ( as everyone knows )

You gain regen as if sitting while minior movment ( ie less then 3 seconds of movement in any one direction )

You do NOT regen as if sitting if mount is moving at full speed ( ie over 3 seconds in any given direction, including strafing )

It seems to be a general concensus of the above. Anyone know differently, or gotten parces that show regen is still in full affect while at full speed? Hopefully we can get this answered and have it posted to a faq or the like for common questions necros have.
