Hoy hoy all. Ive been playing EQ on and off since about a month after its release but i never got a char past 20 b/c i always got bored with them. Untill i played a necromancer. My god they are the best class ever! Anyhoo i've played him up to 32 and i'm starting to look for a guild. I'm on Zebuxoruuk or whatever its called and was wondering if anyone could recomend any evil guild that would be worth joining. This is my first post on necrotalk and by the looks of things it won't be my last.

Hi Mordreg ....just a note to say I wish you well finding that elusive Evil guild. Maybe your server is less "jaded" than mine here on Tunare. Seems most guilds here only recruit "high end " players ...lvl 50 + . I too started a Necro a few weeks ago , up till now my highest was a39 Cleric ..the character Which I started back in June of 1999 and the reason I quit EQ for over 2 years LOL. I made my Necro because I knew when I would not find a group it would not be a big deal..I CAN solo and still enjoy seeing areas previously not possible with my cleric. SO..Hope ya find that guild....but till then Enjoy the best solo class of all. Welcome to the Dark Side :)

I have seen a few guilds accept 1-65. Most accept only 20+ toons. Most of your raid guilds accept 55+ and a select few accept 46+

shouldnt be too diffucult
most guilds that want the 50+ ppl dont really rp so to say they are a evil guild is not true they take anyone that fits the level req.
Most rp evil guilds will have no problem taking ppl from lvl 10+
Best bet is to just ask around on your server. Try joining some of the usual server channels like auction and such. that may help too

Raiding Guilds Don't Roleplay. They might claim it, but they don't.
You want Roleplay then you really should be on the FV roleplay server.
As for guilds you can find 1 a week begging for people in POK (like anyone would really want to join a guild that begs).
You want RP. Then find a Troll. Trolls are more roleplay than anything as who in their right mind would want to play a Troll in the first place with all of the disadvantages they get.

Hmm.. Ascentia makes it mandatory to roleplay because you don't know where the char is when you roleplay. Raiding guilds who have competition on the zones that they hunt roleplay so that other guilds can't do a /who <guildname> and find out where your guild is forming for a take down.

Theres a big difference between roleplaying and running around with your class/level hidden. This game started as a roleplaying game and quickly degenerated into a hack and slash video game.

I agree there. I would ask anyone how being evil fits in this game? There are very few evil quests, zones, etc.. where being evil accounts for any positive faction for that zone. Take karnor's for instance. How far can you go in there even IF you are ally in the OT outpost? You can't go into the basement etc even then. What quests are given there? How come you can't ally with Mistmore and get quests from them? etc.. etc.. etc.. Being evil is a dead story line in EQ.. the only thing you can be is evil starting out as far as the EQ general realm views you.
This part has always bothered me. It was suppose to be roleplaying but you cant play that role. You are either good, or very good.. not evil.

Well, to me, that is all part of being evil. In My opinion, only iksars were the only truely evil because they have no alliances. Evil shouldn't trust anyone, even onther evil races. Being an evil race was supposed to be a challenge. Harder to do quests, longer distances to travel to bank and sell, or having to trust some one to sell for you, only being able to do quests in your home city, it's all been gimped with PoK and LDoN being neutral to all.
Anyways, What I was trying to say was there shouldn't really have been a beneift to being evil, at least in my mind.

I don't advocate being evil.. Only the choice. And evil while not trusting others, doesn't preclude working together. Evil has always had it's alliances and the game should reflect that.. Since all medival lore concerning halflings, dwarfs, goblins, etc.. has it's basis in J.R. Tolkien's works, the Goblins, Troll's, Wargs, etc.. had alliance's. The storyline in the game should reflect this as well to provide content on both sides of the coin.
