Poor guy....

From the desk of Rahgnell, the EverQuest Producer...

At the end of March we announced that we were looking for a new designer to oversee the itemization of the game. There were a ton of great candidates out there but I am happy to announce that the search is finally over! Just a few days ago long time member of the EverQuest community, Merloc, arrived in sunny San Diego with bags in hand. Itemization is not an easy task and I am sure he has no idea what he is getting himself into but I hope you all wish him the best of luck. Don’t get on his case too quickly – it will be a little while until he is up to speed and doing things you can blame him for.

Here is a little more on the man brave enough to step into the breach of itemization:

There are 2 things we need to talk to him about
-DP class item
-ToB and vishi item shared timers
What else do we need to chat with him about when he settles in?

Well, im not there yet but, 45% haste on silk bp in dob?

Azure Robe of the Diplomat (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=83606)

Sure I'd not mind haste to play around with some weapons I have, but, was that really intentional?

Don't let'em fook w/meh haste!

Caster mods. If melee get accuracy, CE, Atk, cleave, fero etc..casters should get equivalent mods on gear. IE our spells should do more dmg. Some more channeling mods (like the tunat pants have) would be nice to see as well, and intelligent application of specialization mods being more common would be cool too.

Which would you rather have? Evoc or divination?

Ya that needs to be high on the list too for sure.

Most was copy paste for codes to speed up shit (i.e. lazy).

Also, why is it that pure casters get INSANE amounts of Avoidance on our gear? I have enough to Avoidance past the cap to sell to people.. jesus

My robe has 50 avoidance..I like it much!

btw..raise cap please!

Chances of them increasing the avoidance cap are pretty slim, seeing as the cap on worn avoidance already equates to ~10% avoidance, any more than that defeats the purpose of some mechanics in the game. If you want to avoid more attacks, roll a tank.

------------------

The Vish class items, and the ToB chest items, being on the same timer is likely very intentional. While it would be nice for the items to be on different timers, I personally won't lose any sleep if I can't use a non-focused/critting 1204 dmg lifetap for 210 seconds because I opted to click my ToB robe instead.
