well after letting many shields and bps rot in 69.1, ive decided that im gonna put them to good use....on a pet! heres my idea, brazier of elemental summoning which i have mentioned before i believe (useable by anyone summons a lvl 12 fire pet, useable at lvl 1) and start a new char. load that pet up with all kinds of goodies.

so far im looking at 69.1 shield, stick of fury (50 damage 2hb), the ring from denik (thanks to gneks guide), and some various other pieces. i will be sure to add something for every slot to maximize the pets effectiveness.

heres my main question, i looted a 75 hp lifetap aug from mpg on rant and im thinking if i put that in the stick of fury it will proc for the pet. it has no required lvl but a recomended lvl of 68 (which shouldnt matter). will i get procs from this? also, i dont think it will matter, but pets can use a shield with a 2hd weapon equiped, correct?

when this actually happens i'll make another post detailing everything, right now im farming the brazier. any ideas on what class to use? i initially thought cleric as he could get the most use out of it as he levels up (there was a guide about someone that did something similar and his cleric made it to 34), however i dont really have interest in playing a cleric at higher levels and this will be on my warriors account anyways.

i have a 51 druid available on my necros account that i can use to heal and stuff if/when needed. i know im looking forward to this, any comments?

You should look up the item on lucy and check the proc. There is a lvl at which the proc starts to work. So while the recommended and required levels aren't of much concern the level the proc starts is.

I thought you couldn't equip pets with no-drop gear anymore?

heres the lucy link to it here (http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=70279)

it doesnt say anything about a proccing level that i saw, im hoping that it will work!

I've given my pet lots of no drop gear. Weapons and armor. Tried it on the skelly pet first to make sure the equipped weapons could be seen, and based off the known base HP of the pet, plus the HP from the gear I had given him, he was usin that stuff. I've read a couple posts here of others that have done it as well. If they used to be unable to use no drop gear, then that got changed at some point, cause they do right now.

Recast Time: 12

Found that in raw data, Not sure what it means exactly. But I would hazard a guess that if it procs, there will be some time to pass before another proc, It's quite realistic that it's the same 12 as we have, and it will account for a casting time reset...

In the case of procs, recast time means nothing. One could proc vamp kiss every round, if the RNG rolled in their favor.
