Head to rathe mts with a pet and you and pet temped...

Head straight to the hill giants which you can kite in a little spot off the hill

These mobs gave me half a blue at 41 and they drp so much money everytime.....not to mention they usually drop fine steel weaps which sell for a good 4pp ea

There is a banker and merchants in rathe mts so you dont have to run all the way back to pok :)

first, hit them with dooming darkness,then Boilblood-Asytole-scourge and sick pet on it...they should drop a good 20% per tick so it will take you about 30 seconds to kill one - get great loot, and a half a blue xp! (maybe more) when you get encumbered it would be faster to gate to pok then run back into rathe mts and back to the giants spot - hope this helps!

This has, of course, been a very popular cash camp over the years, but with the changes to the zone it's been said that the Hill Giants are no longer commonly found on the hill where they normally appeared.

Can you confirm whereabouts you found these Giants? Is it the area near the south-western part of the map where it has been? Or are these giants in another place now?

Giants are now up in NE corner, vendor there sucks for buy back. 3pp on fine steel? That is not good. Vendor outside of Oggok, buys from anyone and pays full price. Best bet is buying lambent stones, which stack now and sell in bazzar. Thats all that vendor is good for...

Ok; heres the real deal. If you want plats and XP. Current thinking is Holgresh in wakening lands. For some reason the high end tailors really want holgresh fur. They will pay almost 300pp per fur on barter. It's a gimmee. Walk up, no advertising, just sell it. Allakhazam's post will tell you, 2/11 kills you'll get fur. 1 out of 6, is another argument.... To me it's all the same. I kill, I get; I sell..

I am I admit, a farming mofo, if not with druid, Whispers does extremely well. I'm kind of tired of folks saying how do I get gear, Work for it; My comp runs 24/7.

If I'm killing, I'm not selling, but if I'm not killing, I am selling. Gnek turned all of us onto EQplaynice. It works...

My comp works well with EQ in background, It's not a special comp, Just thats the way I run it.

If you want Giants, go for it. If you want plats. Holgresh, and at that lvl. XP....

No, I'm not mad or blowing up, don't mean to derail your post. I'm more or less tired of feeling guilty because I play the Plat game. I get xp, AA's but I also make the plats. I look at barter and see what people want, I've been providing since the day I started EQ, Bone chips, bat wings, Fire beetle eyes.... Fourth of july; fireworks...

Don't hate me; But if you really want to make plats, Provide what people want, Giants is not it.....

Yeah and its pretty easy to get to wakening lands from pok to. Just a quick run through gd to ew to kd to wl and its really not that hard. Invis up and you'll do fine.

Old tip that still works - kill all the little lizards on the hill. It will/does help spawn the HGs. That said, they don't all spawn on top of hill, some HGs are on the side, just liek the old location.

It's heavily farmed on BB. I did kill the sand giants in Ro today, 5 SGs and got 170 pp! nice for 5 minutes of work.

Getting to WL sounds kinda dangerous and id probably be better off waiting till i can get into CS and kill the oths for their fur...i am in a guild (mystical Explorers on Druzzil Ro)
And there are always people willing to come with me and make some easy pp

I went there with my cleric and 2 other druids...easily made 2.6k in half an hours work.....now tell me that isnt easy fast pp - we also killed Wyverns and grabbed their hides.... the Crust armor was sold in bazaar and sold weaps to the vendors...also got quite a few gems that sold for a good 65pp ea and i had about 4 if i remember...so that was another easy way.....all i need is some druids and a cleric and we will Cash in like crazy :P

If you have a Druid in group, Why does porting into WL intimidate you? You invis, he clicks button and you're there.... Practically nothing there sees through invis.

That is a good amount of easy plats for time involved; In your original post however, you seemed to be Hot for giants. Giants is just a fun mob. All i was pointing out really was serious money is not what giants are all about. Looks good on outside, but a timesink in disguise....

I just have 1 burning question however. If your trying to Farm Plat, why share it with anyone? Obviously the druids share it with you, Quadkiting druids in CS own the zone. If you're there that is a definate kindness. BUt with an Avatar like yours I see it's mutual....

But what i need to know about Wakeing lands is.......

1 ) Is it an open zone?
2 ) Do the mobs have high resists?
3 ) is it safe to use ignite bones?
4 ) What should i kill there? :unsure:
