I just read a message that EQ will no longer play if you don't have a card capable of handling DirectX 9.
I tried to find the information on the NVidia site but no luck.
So, does anyone know if the GeForce 4 TI series of NVidia can handle DX9?
Will I be able to play EQ?
Thanks!

Any nvidia card from a TNT1 upwards should work fine with DX9, though only the FX cards will see the benefit of any fancy new DX9 effects.
However, just because they should work that doesn't mean they definitely will work.

I have a GeForce 2 and am running Dx 9.0 so I don't think there is any reason for the GeForce 4 not to handle it :)

Here are some video card series that have been tested with Dx9. Most features should work, but you may not get everything with older cards (/dopropertinting, for example):
ATI Radeon series
NVIDIA GeForce, GeForce FX and NForce series
Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (integrated i865G)
Matrox Parhelia
SiS Xabre series
3dlabs Wildcat VP
The following cards have issues. They work, but not everything will look correctly.
ATI Rage 128, 128 Pro
Intel Extreme Graphics (integrated i845G)
Matrox G400, G450, G550
NVIDIA RIVA TNT, TNT2, TNT2 m64
PowerVR Kyro II
S3 Savage4, S3 ProSavage and integrated solutions based on S3 cores
SiS 315 series
And finally, cards that are highly unlikely to support Dx9:
3dfx Voodoo, Voodoo2, Voodoo3, Voodoo Rush
3Dlabs Permedia, Permedia2
ATI RAGE II/II+/IIc, RAGE PRO, Rage Fury Maxx
Cirrus Logic Laguna3D (CL5465)
Intel i740, i810 integrated, i815 integrated
Matrox Millennium II, Mystique, G200
NVIDIA RIVA 128/128ZX
PowerVR Neon 250i
S3 Savage 2000, Savage3D, Trio64 3D, Virge/DX/GX/VX
Rendition Verite V1000/V2200
Some older integrated / laptop display adapters (Neomagic, Trident)

That's OK, Grymm. Although they didn't have all the bells and whistles of the new cards, 3dfx's Voodoo 3, 4, and 5 cards were years ahead of their time.
