Cobert's not very amusing, but the fools who allow themselves to be 'interviewed' by him are, though it's not a laughing-with-them kind of funny.

hehe yeah the topic description is easily missed.
But unfortunately, the NSFW only works if they go to the post, not if it is linked to you through some other method. /tease :P If there is one exciting thing about getting off work tonight it is to go home and see this :D I have heard it is hilarious :)

Unfortunately taste is not a purchasable commodity.
I never said I haven't seen any south park, I said I've never seen any of the episodes glorifying bin laden or whatever that comment was about. I have never seen Team America though, there was nothing remotely interesting about it to me in any of the previews.
Lets add to the list though of 'not funny':
- Jim Carrey
- Adam Sandler (movies, the cd he released early on was so-so amusing)
- Will Ferrell
- Friends
- Sienfield
The Simpsons, Futurama, The Family Guy, Monty Python, Evil Dead 3, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, those are funny.

So if someone doesn't share your sense of humor, they don't have a sense of humor? That's a truely closed minded way of thinking.
I have your number now Brahman. You are a somewhat intelligent person who enjoys creating conflict so that you can attempt to make yourself appear more intelligent and learned, all the while you are simply a trouble causing little boy who needs to grow up. You love being the center of attention, because you always felt starved for attention as a child. You were probably a social outcast who was teased to no end in school, which started your antisocial tendencies. Your self esteem is built upon you constantly "proving" yourself to be more intelligent than the next guy. Your closest celluloid analog would be J.P. from Grandma's Boy. Do you ever find yourself talking like a robot or beleiving that you are a character from the Matrix movies?

Yeah the happy gilmore flick was pretty stupid, and no bob barker getting into a fight and kicking sandler's ass didn't do anything for me. One of my good friends loves it, but then he spends most of his time stoned. And yes Monty Python is amusing.
Caddyshack - you leave dangerfield outa this!
Animal House - blah
The Blues Brothers - I don't think I've ever seen it
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog - not really
Here's more for the amusing list:

Everyone is different. This is ground breaking, you saw it here first folks, the first time anyone has suggested that every single human being is different from every other human being.

actually you are not correct by any account.
Growing up i generally got more attention than i really wanted.
I don't need to prove i'm smarter then anyone, i'm well aware of where my intellect stands and could give 2 shits less what anyone else on an online msg board thinks. If anything it has always pissed me off to no end that i could write some piece of shit in 20 min and have the teacher gushing over it. Crying teachers cause i'm getting a 75% in a class when i ace every test just cause i refuse to do homework was fun too !

A book that you have to read is The Princess Bride. If you read the book, you get to read the first chapter to the sequel (which will probably never be written) Buttercup's Baby. But the true charm of the book is that you find out that Buttercup was not only beautiful, but unbelievably stupid. And as always, the book is better than the movie.
Some movies that seem to be missing are:
Super Troopers
MST3K the movie
Undercover Brother
Books
Bill the Galactic Hero series
Stainless Steel Rat series
M.Y.T.H.
Xanth
TV Shows
MST3K
Venture Bros.

List pretty much rings true for me with the exception of Dane Cook. I guess he's funny in some way but overall I think he comes across as an asshole and I quickly hit my tolerance with him and change the channel. One of my great finds when I was younger was a couple of old Bill Cosby comedy records in my Dad's record stash. I still have them, great stuff. Why is There Air & I Started Out as a Child showed why Cosby was the star he was back in the day.
As for the Colbert thing, he can be hit or miss with me at times but overall I like him. Granted, I generally watch the show because I'm watching The Daily Show and just don't change the channel. However, that interview with Eleanor Holmes Norton was great. Since I live in the area and have had to endure that woman on the local news too many times already, it was nice to see someone totally get the better of her.
